The Kuwaiti Government has announced that the current curfew, in place from 7pm to 5am, will be extended until the end of the month of Ramadan. Please follow the instructions of the local authorities and stay at home during the curfew hours.

British nationals who may experience difficulties in contacting the Embassy, can call +44 1908 516666 in the event of a consular emergency.

It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.

The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.

The British Embassy is aware that a number of British nationals are stranded in transit, unable to enter Kuwait following the Kuwait Government decision to allow only Kuwaitis into the country. We are raising this issue with the Kuwait Government, in particular the effect it has on families. If you are stranded in transit outside Kuwait, with valid visas to enter the country, please send your name, civil ID number and location to us at [email protected] by the end of 22 February. We will raise your case, but it is a decision for the Kuwaiti authorities who they allow into the country.
