On June 12th, 2024, LGBC, in partnership with LGU, proudly hosted the Head of the European Investment Bank (EIB). This event brought together local business leaders and entrepreneurs to discuss the EIB’s activities and plans in Lebanon, with a focus on the private sector.

The session, which included a lively Q&A, provided invaluable insights into the EIB's strategic objectives and financial instruments. Executive Director, Ms. Mary EL JALKH, highlighted the event as a milestone for local businesses, fostering rich exchanges and actionable strategies. 💼🌍

Highlights from LGBC gathering in partnership with Mefosa, featuring the distinguished Ms. Alessia Squarcella, Deputy Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to Lebanon.

The event started with a warm welcome from LGBC President Mr. Assouad, followed by a presentation from Mefosa highlighting their objectives, goals, and achievements.

The highlight of the evening was a discussion between Dr. Ghobril, Chief Economist at Byblos Group, and Ms. Squarcella on the EU’s outlook on trade relations with Lebanon and the economic reforms. The discussion continued in an engaging Q&A session, where LGBC members posed thought-provoking questions to our esteemed guest.

A special thank you to Mefosa for their organization and support in making this event a success.
