On the occasion of World No To***co Day – May 31st, “Unmasking the Appeal – Countering Ni****ne and To***co Addiction,” the Lebanese Order of Dietitians highlights the vital role dietitians play in supporting smoking cessation and promoting healthier lifestyles. 🚭

Quitting smoking is not only about breaking ni****ne addiction — it is also about rebuilding health, improving nutrition status, managing cravings, supporting mental well-being, and reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

Dietitians are key partners in the cessation journey by helping individuals adopt sustainable eating habits, manage weight concerns, and restore overall wellness during and after quitting smoking.

Together, let us raise awareness, empower communities, and support every step toward a tobacco-free future‼️

DIETITIANS, your voice matters more than ever.

Fad diets may promise quick results, but they often come at the cost of health, balance, and long-term wellbeing. As clinical dietitians, we have the responsibility to challenge misinformation, guide people toward evidence-based choices, and promote sustainable habits over harmful trends.

Let’s work together to raise awareness, educate our communities and remind everyone that health is not built on restriction, fear, or social media hype — it’s built on balance!

Skip the fad diets. Choose balanced nutrition. Choose science.

🩺🌍 World Hypertension Day 2026

This year’s theme, “Controlling Hypertension Together,” reminds us that managing blood pressure requires a team effort and NUTRITION is at the heart of it.

Dietitians play a crucial role through sustainable weight management, heart-healthy nutrition, sodium reduction, and lifestyle guidance that can significantly improve blood pressure control and long-term health outcomes.

Because nutrition is not just supportive care — it is part of the treatment‼️

Your nutrition degree can take you far beyond the clinic‼️

Nutrition & Dietetics is no longer limited to hospitals or private practice.
Today, dietitians are leading change across healthcare, research, public health, education, technology, policy, sports, wellness, and the food industry.

Dietitians are:
• Clinicians improving patient outcomes
• Researchers advancing scientific knowledge
• Public health professionals shaping healthier communities
• Educators and academic leaders
• Medical and scientific writers translating evidence into practice
• Sports nutrition specialists optimizing performance
• Wellness experts supporting preventive health
• Product developers and food industry specialists driving innovation
• Policy advocates contributing to national health strategies
• Leaders in digital health and healthcare technology

A nutrition degree is more than a qualification.
It is a powerful combination of science, critical thinking, communication, and behavior change.

👉🏻One degree. Endless possibilities‼️

Celiac Awareness Month 🌾

As Clinical Dietitians, we have a responsibility to advocate for evidence-based nutrition care and protect individuals with celiac disease from misinformation, fear-based trends, and misleading marketing‼️

A gluten-free diet is not simply a lifestyle choice — it is a medically necessary treatment for people living with celiac disease. Proper management goes far beyond removing gluten. It requires:
• Professional assessment
• Education
• Monitoring
• Individualized nutrition guidance

As members of the Lebanese Order of Dietitians, we reaffirm the essential role of Dietitians in:
✔️ Providing science-based nutrition education
✔️ Preventing nutritional deficiencies and unnecessary restrictions
✔️ Teaching safe gluten-free practices and cross-contamination prevention
✔️ Supporting patients and families through sustainable dietary management
✔️ Challenging misinformation spread through trends and marketing claims

Not every “gluten-free” product is healthy, balanced, or necessary. Nutrition guidance should come from qualified professionals — not trends.
