Capital Outsourcing launches Microsoft's HCI on Huawei Servers and Data Center Switches- an industry's first!

Today marks the end of the first week since the Beirut tragedy hit our local teams, clients, partners, and offices.

In the last 7 days, we have remained silent, focused on managing the situation, and helping wherever we could. We have grieved with people who lost loved ones. We have been on the side of wounded persons. We have helped in cleaning affected households, refurbishing clients’ workspaces, relocating Data Centers, restoring Internet connectivity…We have also witnessed the touching solidarity of all our friends who stood by us and offered generous assistance.

Today, we put our sorrows behind and start anew. We look forward to a bright future for Lebanon, void of worries and full of hope. Because the only reality we have at hand is the present moment, we will help rebuild step by step, hour after hour, day after day. We will not be hampered by dark thoughts of tomorrow.

Today, IP Engineering completed the first milestone in setting up the first AI Research Cluster in Lebanon in cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering at the American University of Science and Technology and Huawei, the global leader in Artificial Intelligence.

Based on the Modular Data Center (FusionModule), the new Atlas hardware acceleration architecture and the MindSpore framework, it will facilitate the development of AI algorithms with very powerful training and inference machines . This cluster will bring together industry and academia, enabling interested industrial partners, faculty members and graduate students to bring AI innovation faster to the world. This effort is seconded by regular training and certification of staff and students.

We are confident this initiative will bring forward the importance of Artificial Intelligence in society and industry alike, putting AUST at the forefront of innovation. Keep tuned for the first results!
