𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲.

I've trained close to a thousand coaches.
And I'll tell you what almost none of them say out loud after they certify.

"𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭. 𝘚𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩?"

Here's what I've learned watching this pattern repeat itself:

The imposter feeling isn't about your intelligence.
It isn't about your passion.
It's structural.

Certification teaches you the framework.
It does not give you reps — under real pressure, with someone watching who can tell you what you genuinely cannot see in yourself.

That's the gap.
And almost no one names it clearly enough.

Most coaches leave their programs and walk straight into practice without ever having enough real conversations reviewed by someone qualified to review it. And this is not a one time practice because repetition is the mother of all skills.

That's not a mindset problem.

𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀.
Here's the uncomfortable pattern I keep seeing.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻'𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵.

They fade because they stopped practicing under real conditions — with real feedback — the moment certification ended.

And nobody warned them that would happen.

Certification gives you the credential.
It doesn't automatically give you the practice.

There's a gap between knowing how to coach and actually coaching well under pressure — with a real client in front of you, no safety net, no supervisor in the room.
