Women Business Empowerment - SouthBIC 2015

DAY 2: Business Registration - Monday June 15, 2015
How does someone open a business up? What are the required documents and legal matters? During this training, women got to understand the steps required to open a business from the requirements, to the legal matters to the different types of businesses they can open and the differences between each type of business registration.

On the 13th of June 2015, SouthBIC has started its Women Business Empowerment initiative to train women about the basic principles of Branding, Marketing, Packaging, Food Safety and Business Registration. The trainings were spread along 4 days from Saturday June 13, 2015 until Wednesday June 17.

DAY 1: Branding - Saturday June 13, 2015
During this training, participating women were exposed to the principles of branding: What exactly is branding, and where does its importance lie?

Career Day at SouthBIC - New Career and Major Trends Forum on May 8 and May 15, 2015!

To fulfil its goals and objectives, SouthBIC is organising orientation sessions for students to understand each major's job market. The first session took place on the 8th of May 2015 where more than 300 students attended to learn about the new career trends in Lebanon. The event covered several majors: Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Forensic Sciences, Medical Social Assistance, Biomedical and Electrical Engineering and Petro-chemical Engineering. In the event, professors from UOB, LAU, AUST, USEK, LU and Jinan Universities have discussed several new business trends in the majors above. Students have networked with the professors and each other to learn about career opportunities they could pursue after graduation. The event had highly positive reviews from both the professors and the attending students.
