Electric Resonance: A Solo Art Exhibition by Anya Fernando

August 22 - 23, 2026 | 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Gallery FourLife , 26 Boteju Road, Colombo 5

At the age of 15, Anya Fernando, a student at St. Bridget's Convent and under the tutelage of artist Ms. Rhuani Rambukwella, demonstrates a remarkable exploration of painting possibilities, characterized by a distinct sense of curiosity and artistic freedom.

Ms. Fernando's artistic methodology is marked by spontaneity and experimentation, rather than adherence to a predetermined artistic style. She derives pleasure from investigating color, natural elements, textures, and a diverse range of concepts, allowing each piece to develop organically. For her, painting serves as a significant avenue for creative expression and a means of observing her surroundings.

"Electric Resonance," her inaugural solo art exhibition, showcases a collection of works that embody her youthful inquisitiveness, imaginative spirit, and creative journey. Through the deliberate use of color and visual experimentation, Ms. Fernando invites viewers to engage with her evolving artistic realm—a space where ideas are freely explored and creativity transcends conventional limitations.
