Sri Lanka to Compete in IFMA Muaythai Youth World Championship 2024 in Bangkok
The Sri Lanka Muaythai Federation (SLMTF) has announced that a delegation of 29 talented athletes (15 male and 14 female) and 12 dedicated officials will represent Sri Lanka at the upcoming IFMA Muaythai Youth World Championship 2024. This prestigious event is scheduled to take place in Bangkok, Thailand, from September 11th to September 19th, 2024.
The championship is one of the most significant events in the international Muaythai calendar, attracting participation from approximately 100 countries worldwide. The Sri Lankan contingent, comprising young athletes who have undergone rigorous training, is poised to showcase their skills and determination on the global stage, proudly representing their nation.
Officials and Courses
In addition to the athletes' participation, the SLMTF is pleased to announce that Sri Lankan officials will be taking part in international courses during the event:
• 8 officials will participate in the International Referee and Judge (RJ) course
• 5 officials will attend the International Coaching course
This marks a significant milestone for Sri Lankan Muaythai, as these officials enhance their expertise, contributing to the sport's growth in the country and ensuring representation at the highest levels of Muaythai.

The Sri Lankan team will be led by a group of experienced officials:
