We are pleased to share that Mr. Suresh R I Perera, Principal - Head of Tax & Regulatory at KPMG in Sri Lanka, participated as a resource person at the 4th CITSL Tax Talk Session organized by the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Sri Lanka.

The session, held on 19th May 2026, focused on “Understanding Taxpayers’ Rights and Obligations in the Current Tax System” and provided valuable insights into the evolving tax landscape and regulatory environment.

We were proud to support the launch of Sri Lanka’s inaugural “It’s Now for Nature Accelerator” as technical partner, alongside UN Global Compact Network Sri Lanka and Biodiversity Sri Lanka, a significant step towards advancing nature-positive business transformation in the country.

The event featured an insightful keynote by Dr. Rohan Pethiyagoda, Biologist and Director of Biodiversity Sri Lanka, who highlighted the importance of integrating nature into long-term business strategy and resilience planning. Bringing a global perspective to the discussion, Pallavi Kalita, Asia Lead at Business for Nature, shared how organizations across the world are embedding nature-positive approaches into corporate decision-making and priorities.

As businesses continue to navigate evolving environmental risks, investor expectations, and sustainability priorities, initiatives such as this Accelerator are essential in helping organizations create long-term value while contributing towards protecting the ecosystems that sustain communities, economies, and future generations.
