Empowering Agripreneurs in Thambuttegama

Another successful Entrepreneurship Development Program for Banana Farmers was conducted by the Ceylon Chamber Centre for SMEs in collaboration with DFCC Bank.

The program focused on transforming farmers into agripreneurs by helping them build an entrepreneurial mindset, identify market opportunities, and adopt sustainable practices aligned with the SDGs.

Key topics included:
• Entrepreneurial characteristics and opportunity seeking
• Marketing and pricing strategies for banana exports
• Sustainable farming and triple bottom-line goals
• Business Model Canvas for agri-business planning

Engaging activities, group discussions, and interactive games made learning practical and inspiring for the participants.
