Master Trainer Meeting Note
* Date: 2 July 2026
* Venue: SIYB Colombo Academy (SIYB ASL Office)
* Purpose: To review the Association's progress, strengthen member engagement, and develop a strategic roadmap for the future.
* Invitations Issued: 45 SIYB Master Trainers.
* Confirmed Attendance: 14 Master Trainers.
* Actual Participation: 10 Master Trainers.
* All participants actively contributed throughout the meeting, sharing valuable experiences, practical ideas, and strategic recommendations.
* Productive discussions focused on strengthening SIYBA's institutional capacity, improving programme quality, expanding marketing and partnership opportunities, and enhancing the sustainability of the Association.
* Key strategic decisions and recommendations were agreed upon to guide the future direction and growth of SIYBA.
* The meeting concluded successfully with a shared commitment from the participating Master Trainers to support implementation of the agreed priorities and contribute to the continued development of the SIYB programme in Sri Lanka.

The SIYB game demonstration session was successfully implemented for the Commerce Division of the Ministry of Education on 5th May 2026 at their premises. The session provided participants with practical exposure to SIYB training methodologies and interactive business learning approaches. It is expected to support the promotion and application of an entrepreneurship culture among students by encouraging creative thinking, business awareness, and practical entrepreneurial skills.

Bernadina Micro Investment Company (Pvt) Ltd. trained 17 potential Female Entrepreneurs from Batticaloa
An IYB Training Seminar (Record keeping business planning Module) was organized and held by the Arayampathy Branch of the Berendina Micro Investment Company (Pvt) Ltd. on March 27, 2026, at the Branch's Training Hall in Arayampathy, Batticaloa, in the Eastern Province. Mr. L. Kamalanathan (SIYB Trainer) served as the lead SIYB Trainer, while Mr. N. Sivanathan (SIYB Trainer) co-facilitated this IYB Training Seminar. Seventeen female entrepreneurs from Batticaloa attended this seminar.

An IYB Training Seminar (business planning Module) was organized and held by the Arayampathy Branch of the Berendina Micro Investment Company (Pvt) Ltd. on March 25, 2026, at the Branch's Training Hall in Arayampathy, Batticaloa, in the Eastern Province. Mr. L. Kamalanathan (SIYB Trainer) served as the lead SIYB Trainer, while Mr. N. Sivanathan (SIYB Trainer) co-facilitated this IYB Training Seminar. Eighteen female entrepreneurs from Batticaloa attended this seminar.

Mr. L. Kamalanathan (Human Resource Development Officer, Divisional Secretariat, Manmunai West, Batticaloa) served as the lead SIYB Trainer, while Mr. N. Sivanathan (Skills Development Officer, Divisional Secretariat, Manmunai West, Batticaloa) co-facilitated this IYB Training Seminar. Twenty female entrepreneurs from Batticaloa attended this seminar.

SIYB TOMT Program

The SIYB Colombo Academy successfully launched its first Training of Master Trainers (TOMT) Program on 22nd April, marking an important milestone in strengthening the national SIYB network. This intensive five-day program brings together 22 carefully selected top-performing SIYB trainers from across the island. Conducted in English by international trainer Mr. Gemunu Wijesena, the training aims to elevate participants to the level of Master Trainers. This program represents the first step in their certification journey, as participants must successfully complete the full training cycle to become accredited Master Trainers
