The possibilities for Dr Anushi Rajapaksa’s research seemed limitless after she found a way to turn a liquid vaccine into an aerosol that can be inhaled, rather than injected. This game-changing discovery means we could soon have a non-invasive and pain-free way to deliver vaccines to newborn and premature babies, and people in developing countries. We’re highlighting Anushi’s exciting work for World Immunization Week, held from 24-30 April to spread the message about the power of vaccines.
