The National Conference on Building Fire Safety and Compliance, organised by the Building Services Engineering Sectional Committee of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka, was held at the Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo, on 8th July 2026.
The conference's goal is to discuss and educate policymakers about the current state of building fire safety in the country, as well as the necessary actions that must be taken to reinforce the fire safety framework. The conference brought together a huge number of engineers, architects, fire safety experts, developers, legislators, and emergency response professionals.
