ළමා ආරක්ෂණය යනු නීතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම පමණක් නොව, නිවැරදි ආකල්පයක්, සංවේදී බවක් සහ වගකීමක් ගොඩනැගීමයි.

Child protection is not just about enforcing laws. It begins with the right mindset, empathy, and a genuine sense of responsibility.

වාචිකව හෝ ශාරීරිකව ළමයින්ට හිංසා කිරීම කිසිදු හේතුවක් මත සාධාරණීකරණය කළ නොහැක. ඔවුන් අපේ අනාගතයයි. ඔවුන් ආරක්ෂා කිරීම අප සැමගේ වගකීමයි.

ජාතික ළමා ආරක්ෂක අධිකාරියේ සභාපතිතුමිය, අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩලය සහ කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය සමඟ මෙම ජාතික වගකීම පිළිබඳ ආකල්ප වෙනස සහ වටිනාකම් පිළිබඳ අදහස් හුවමාරු කර ගැනීමට ලැබීම ඉතා අර්ථවත් අත්දැකීමක් විය.

ක්‍රෝධය, ලෝභය, වෛරය සහ අකුසල් සිතුවිලි මනුෂ්‍යත්වය මැඩපවත්වමින් මෘගත්වය වගා කරයි. එම මාර්ගයේ අවසානය දුක, අන්ධකාරය සහ ධර්මයෙන් ඈත්වීමයි.

ඒ නිසා බිරිඳ, ස්වාමිපුරුෂයා, දරුවන්, දෙමාපියන් සහ අපට හමුවන සෑම කෙනෙකුම ධර්මයේ ඇසින් දැක, ගැටුම් වෙනුවට මෛත්‍රිය, ඉවසීම සහ සිල් රකිමු.

අපේ ජීවිතයට සපථයක් කරගනිමු:

මෑතකදී සිදු වූ බන්ධනාගාර සිදුවීමෙන් පසු මගේ හිතට නැගුණු ප්‍රශ්නය මෙයයි.

දිවි අහිමි වූ බන්ධනාගාර නිලධාරීන් ගැන අපි ශෝක විය යුතුයි. ඔවුන්ගේ පවුල්වල වේදනාව අපි තේරුම් ගත යුතුයි. සෑම මනුෂ්‍ය ජීවිතයකටම වටිනාකමක් තිබෙනවා.

නමුත් ඒ සමඟම…

දුක් විඳි හෝ ජීවිත අහිමි වූ සිරකරුවන් ගැනත් මොහොතක් සිතන්න අපට බැරිද?

Justice must prevail.
වැරදි කළ අය නීතිය හමුවේ වගකිව යුතුයි. දඬුවම් ලැබිය යුතු අයට දඬුවම් ලැබිය යුතුයි.

නමුත්…

A person’s mistake does not erase their humanity.

දඬුවමක් ලැබීමෙන් කෙනෙකුගේ මනුෂ්‍යත්වය අහිමි වෙන්නේ නැහැ.

අපි අපෙන්ම එක ප්‍රශ්නයක් අහමු…

අපි 100% වැරදි නොකළ මිනිස්සුද?

අපේ දෙමාපියෙකු, සහෝදරයෙකු, පුතෙකු හෝ දියණියක වරදක් කළා යැයි හෝ සමහරවිට වරදක් නොකළත් චෝදනා ලැබ හෝ දඬුවමකට මුහුණ දුන්නා යැයි සිතන්න.

එදා අපි බලාපොරොත්තු වන්නේ නීතිය පමණක් නොවෙයි…

අපි බලාපොරොත්තු වන්නේ සාධාරණත්වය, කරුණාව සහ මනුෂ්‍යත්වයයි.

සමහරු බරපතළ වැරදි කළ අය විය හැකියි. සමහරු පළමු වරට වැරැද්දක් කළ අය විය හැකියි. සමහරු අසරණ තත්ත්වයන් තුළ වැරදි තීරණ ගත් අය විය හැකියි. තවත් සමහරු අසාධාරණ ලෙස චෝදනා ලැබූ අය විය හැකියි.

භාග්‍යවතුන් වහන්සේ අංගුලිමාල තුළත් වෙනස් වීමේ හැකියාව දුටුවා.

යේසුස් ක්‍රිස්තුස් වහන්සේද පැවසුවේ:

“වරදක් නොකළ කෙනා මුලින්ම ගල ගසන්න.”

Compassion is not about excusing wrongdoing.
It is about protecting our humanity while seeking justice.

කරුණාව කියන්නේ වැරදි සාධාරණීකරණය කිරීම නොවේ.

එය යුක්තිය ඉටු කරන අතරතුරත්, අපේ මනුෂ්‍යත්වය රැකගැනීමයි.

අද අපි අසන ප්‍රශ්නය:

“ඔහු සිරකරුවෙක්ද?” නොව…
“ඔහුත් මනුෂ්‍යයෙක්ද?” යන්නයි.

“Until we do it ourselves, we never truly understand how difficult it is.”

“අපිම කරලා බලනකම් ඒක කොච්චර අමාරුද කියලා ඇත්තටම තේරෙන්නේ නැහැ.”

First of all, no employer has the right to insult, abuse, or physically assault an employee. That is never acceptable.

මුලින්ම කියන්න ඕනේ, කිසිම සේවායෝජකයෙකුට සේවකයෙකුට වාචිකව හෝ ශාරීරිකව හිංසා කිරීමේ අයිතියක් නැහැ. ඒක කිසිම විදිහකින් සාධාරණීකරණය කරන්න බැහැ.

At the same time, running a business—especially a —in Sri Lanka is one of the toughest jobs. It means dealing with rising costs, retaining employees, satisfying customers, paying taxes, and surviving every single day.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ, විශේෂයෙන්ම අවන්හලක් පවත්වාගෙන යාම කියන්නේ අතිශය අභියෝගාත්මක කාර්යයක්. වියදම්, සේවකයන් රඳවා ගැනීම, පාරිභෝගික තෘප්තිය, බදු ගෙවීම සහ දෛනික අභියෝග සමඟ නිරන්තරයෙන් සටන් කරන්න වෙනවා.

It’s easy to judge from the outside. Sometimes we are quicker to criticize than to understand the struggles behind the scenes.

පිටතින් විවේචනය කිරීම ලේසියි. නමුත් ඇතුළේ තියෙන අරගලය තේරුම් ගන්න උත්සාහ කරන අය අඩුයි.

Business owners don’t chase people to offer jobs. People apply for jobs. Once you accept a salary, give it your best. If the workplace isn’t right for you, leave with dignity—but while you’re there, do your job honestly and responsibly.

ව්‍යාපාරිකයන් මිනිස්සුන් පස්සේ ගිහින් රැකියා දෙන්නේ නැහැ. අපිම රැකියා සොයා යනවා. ඒ නිසා වැටුපක් ගන්නවා නම්, අවංකව සහ වගකීමෙන් තමන්ගේ වැඩ ඉටු කරන්න. තැන ගැළපෙන්නේ නැත්නම් ගෞරවයෙන් ඉවත් වෙන්න.

Let’s judge less, understand more, and build a culture that respects honest work, responsible businesses, and accountability based on facts.

විවේචනයට වඩා අවබෝධයත්, අනුමානවලට වඩා සත්‍යයත්, වෛරයට වඩා වගකීමත් අගය කරන සංස්කෘතියක් අපි එකට ගොඩනඟමු.
