Follow Up Within 24 Hours

Receiving a referral is just the beginning. The real value comes from how quickly and professionally you respond.

When you receive a referral:
✔ Contact them promptly
✔ Introduce yourself professionally
✔ Thank the member who referred you
✔ Keep the referrer updated on the outcome

A timely follow-up demonstrates reliability, builds trust, and increases your chances of turning a referral into a lasting business relationship.

Remember: Referrals are opportunities, and opportunities don't wait.

💡 In BNI, speed builds credibility, and credibility builds business.

BNI Educational Tip of the Week

The more specific your referral request, the easier it becomes for members to identify opportunities for you.

Instead of asking for "any customer," define:
✔ Industry
✔ Location
✔ Decision Maker
✔ Business Need

Specificity creates clarity. Clarity creates referrals.
