99designs.com is one of the largest online platforms for freelance designers.

"Celebrate Design Day" on 9/9 is one of 99design's annual global events. This year, the 2nd annual Celebrate Design Day was held on 9th September with the 99designs community around the globe.

The Sri Lankan 99designs community also organized a meetup for the first time in Sri Lanka. It was hosted by Em Shaveen and was held at Royal College Union Skills Centre.

The meetup went through two presentations on "the importance of psychology to design" by Himaruwan Chandrathilake and "self-marketing" by 99designs. Designers who participated also faced two design challenges during the event.

The meetup was an opportunity for the local community of 99designs to get to know each other and share knowledge. The evening was filled with educational and creative inspiration.
