Feeling immensely proud and touched after leading the Youth Leadership program for Kandy City School prefects. Watching these 140 passionate young minds coming together and displaying their spirit has been an unforgettable memory.

Grateful to American Corner Kandy for entrusting me with this opportunity to shape the leaders of tomorrow.

Guiding these remarkable young souls through the training program has been about more than just instilling skills – it's been about nurturing their spirits to blossom into resilient, empowered leaders.

Witnessing their growth at this pivotal age is like watching seeds turn into mighty tree.

I am glad that I have been able to somewhat firmly grounded their root (mindset) to face any storm that may come their way. With each lesson, they have learnt determination, courage, and adaptability, ensuring that these future leaders are equipped not only with knowledge, but with an unshakable mindset to conquer any challenge that life presents. 🌱

CARDS ON THE TABLE was yet another successful project of Blue Mango Academy where we invited 4 experts in the education industry to talk about the current state of Education in Sri Lanka and the way forward.

• Anjalie Fernando spoke about the significance of early childhood education and selecting a good standard preschool

• Anoma Senevirathna covered the importance of transforming a student from being an unconfident dependent learner to a confident independent learner

• Prof. Ananda Jayawardena shared his insights on transforming a highly examination oriented student into a holistic, skilled, employable adult with an appetite for life-long learning

• Priyanka Mendis highlighted the facts on how to reach beyond success through enhancing skills and self-driven learning to create wise, thoughtful, impactful and courageous individuals
