අපේ රටේ සාහිත්‍යය වෙනත් කිසිදු රටකට දෙවැනි නොවේ. ජීවිතය කළමනාකරණය අද මහා විශාල සහ ජනප්‍රිය මාතෘකාවක්. අද සමාජගත වන බොහොමයක් සංකල්ප අපේ ගෞතම බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ සිඟාලෝවාද සහ පරාභව වැනි සූත්‍ර මගින් දේශනා කොට තිබෙනවා. අපේ මුතුන්මිත්තන් අවුරුදු සිය ගණනකට කලින් අත් දැකල ලෝ වැඩ සඟරාව, සිරිත් මල් දම වගේ කවි පොත්වලින් ගැඹුරු ජීවිත කරුණු සරලව ලියල තියෙනවා.
තමන්ගේ වටිනා සාහිත්‍යය කියවන්න , දැනගන්න , තේරුම්ගන්න සහ පිලිපදින්න මිනිස්සු නැහැ.

සැබෑ ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයෙකු වීමට නම් බොහෝ දේ නොමැති හෝ ගිලිහී ගිය විටත්, පීඩනකාරී සහ වේදනාකාරී අවස්ථා වලත, මානසිකව සහ ශාරීරිකව කඩා නොවැටී සිටීමට හැකිවිය යුතුයි. සියලු අංගෝපාංග පහසුකම් සැප සම්පත් සහ බලය ඇතිවීට පමණක් වැජඹීමට බහුතරයකට හැකියාව තිබීම ජාතියෙහි අභාග්‍යකි.

If you want to become a TRUE Sri Lankan you should be more effective, physically and mentally well-balanced and efficient in distress and pain. Not, when you are affluent, resourceful and powerful. When the majority collapses in crisis, it becomes a National RISK.

The whole world wake up with such dreadful fear of Covid 19. The magnitude of global awareness being done on the epidemic is unimaginable. Unfortunately, we still witness many people in so called developed societies who still refuse to follow BASICS.

SUCCESS = Adherence to BASICS.

අද මුළු ලෝකයම දිනපතා අවදි වන්නේ කෝවිඩ් 19 රෝගයට ඇති මාරක බියෙන්. දියුණු යැයි සම්මත බොහෝ රටවල මිනිසුන් රෝග පාලනයට කළ යුතු, කළ හැකි *මූලික* පියවර ගැනීම පවා අදටත් ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කරයි.

සිතන්නට ඉඩ දුන් කාලය අපෙන් බොහෝ ඈතට ගොස් හමාරය.

මේ සීතල උඳුවප් මාසයයි. අල්පේච්ඡ තාවයේ මාසයයි. ඒ සීතලට මැදිව අප මතකයට එන්නේ සාමයේ පණිවිඩයයි. කවුරු රැගෙන ආවත් *සාමය* උතුම්ය. බුදුන් වහන්සේ, ජේසු තුමන් සහ මහමත්තුමා දෙසූ පරිදි *බහු ජන හිතාය බහු ජන සුකාය* යථාර්ථයක් වන්නට ජේසු තුමන් දෙසූ සාමයේ පනිවිඩය පිටිවහලක් කරගනිමු. හැකි හැමවිටම එකිනෙකාට යහපතක් වෙන ආකාරයට ජීවත් වෙමු. අප කෙසේ කීවද , පෘතග්ජනයින් ලෙස අප දිගු කලක් ජීවත් වන බව මිස කොයි මොහොතක හෝ ජීවිතය කෙලවර බව, නිරන්තරයෙන් සිතීමේ ප්‍රවනතාව ඉතාම සීමිතය. මේ නිසා අපට බොහෝ විට වැරදීම් සිදු වෙයි. මේ නත්තල් සමයෙහි අපට ලෞකික ජීවිතය පිලිබදව සිතන්න ට සොබා දහම බොහොමයක් ලබාදී ඇත. එබැවින් *දැනුම* පසෙක ලා වැඩි දැනුවත් කමින්, තිරිංග සහිතව සහ *විචක්ෂණශීලීව* ජීවිතය දෙස බැලීමට අදිටන් කරමු.

The pleasent and welcoming climate of beautiful month of December, brings the noble message of peace of Jesus Christ. Let us enrich the teachings and message of PEACE of Lord Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed. The nature has presented many lessons to human beings suggesting to rectify the mistakes, if we really need to do so. Live knowing that life is impermanent. Live with greater awareness and intelligence so that we could minimize errors and disappointments. You should drive the life at a controllable speed where you could apply breaks and halt it at your will.

We as Sri Lankans have a tendency to study well-known personalities from western hemisphere.

Look at this personality from SL. He is very much unnoticed in our society and unfortunately easily looked down upon as well. His level of attachment with nature has earned him far greater sixth sense. His Leadership qualities, respect, care for nature has gifted him higher Intelligence. His simple and down to earth life has never created disturbance and he has never been a burden to this land.
He is by far the most respectable and fully-fledged ROLE MODEL for any student, youngster or an adult to emulate, if they keen to learn how to live a responsible life.

ඉතිහාසය අරුම විෂයක් වේ. එහි බුද්ධ දේශනාවේ සඳහන් අභියෝග කල නොහැකි අටලෝ දහමම ඇතුළත් වේ. කල යුත්තේ කල කී සහ සිදුවූ සිදුවීම් සියල්ල, උපේක්ෂාවෙන් ඉවසා විඳ දරාගෙන, පාඩම් උගෙන, අමතක කල යුතු සියල්ල අමතක කිරීමයි. කෙතරම් කැමති වුවද ඉතිහාසය ප්‍රතිනිර්මාණය කල නොහැකිය. ජීවිතය, සමාජය හා රට ආපසු හැරෙන්නේ නැත. ඉදිරියටම යනු ඇත.

History is amazing. It enshrines the eternal truth of Eight Fold Path of the Buddha. We need to bear, learn lessons and forget the rest with equanimity. History will never be re-created despite our attachment. Life, Society and the Country will never turn back but move on.
