Sri Lanka Tourism Development Levy (TDL) Payments Now Accepted Only Through GovPay – Effective 5 August 2026 Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority Introduces Mandatory GovPay Payments
The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) has announced an important change to the payment method for the Tourism Development Levy (TDL). Effective from 5 August 2026, all online payments to the TDL account must be made exclusively through the GovPay payment portal. Direct online transfers to the TDL bank account will no longer be accepted, except for payments processed via GovPay. This change has been introduced to streamline payment processing, improve reconciliation, and reduce errors in the allocation of government revenue.
