🌱 TRY THE TRADITIONAL TWO LEAVES & A BUD
Tea picking is a careful skill. The tender two young leaves and the bud at the top of the tea shoot are selected by hand. 🤲🍃
It may look simple, but traditional tea plucking requires skill, speed and experience.
🌿 FROM TEA PLANT TO YOUR CUP
🌱 1. GROWING
Tea bushes grow among the beautiful mountains and cool, misty landscapes of Sri Lanka.
🤲 2. HAND PLUCKING
The tender two leaves and a bud are carefully selected and plucked.
🧺 3. COLLECTING
Fresh tea leaves are gathered into traditional baskets before being taken to the factory.
🌬️ 4. WITHERING
The fresh leaves are spread out to gradually reduce their moisture.
🔄 5. ROLLING & PROCESSING
The leaves are carefully processed to develop the character and aroma of the tea.
☀️ 6. DRYING
The tea is dried and prepared for grading and packing.
☕ 7. FROM LEAF TO CUP
Finally, the journey ends with a beautiful cup of authentic Ceylon Tea.
