Please be advised that the deadline to pay the 1st Quarterly Installment of Income Tax for the Year of Assessment 2026/2027 is 15th August 2026.

Important Reminders & IRD Guidelines:

• SET Form Filing Exempted: Effective from the Year of Assessment 2026/2027, taxpayers are no longer required to submit the Statement of Estimated Tax Payable (SET) form.

• Tax Period Code: 26271

• Modes of Payment: Payments can be processed through the IRD Web Portal, Online Banking, or directly at Bank of Ceylon counters.

Make sure to complete your payment on time to stay compliant and avoid statutory penalties.

දේශීය ආදායම් (සංශෝධන) පනත යටතේ රැඳවුම් බදු (Withholding Tax - WHT) අදාළ වන වෘත්තීන්ගේ ලැයිස්තුව පුළුල් කර තිබේ. මීට පෙර වෛද්‍යවරුන්, නීතිඥයන්, ඉංජිනේරුවන් සහ මෘදුකාංග සංවර්ධකයන් වැනි වෘත්තිකයන්ට පමණක් අදාළ වූ මෙම බද්ද, දැන් නිරූපණ ශිල්පීන්, කලාකරුවන්, නළුවන්, සමාජ මාධ්‍ය විශේෂඥයන්, ඡායාරූප හා වීඩියෝ ශිල්පීන්, පුද්ගලික පුහුණුකරුවන්, උපදේශකයන්, ලේඛකයන් ඇතුළු තවත් වෘත්තීන් 25කට ද ව්‍යාප්ත කර ඇත.

යම් ආයතනයක සේවකයෙකු නොවන පුද්ගලයෙකුට සේවාවක් සඳහා රුපියල් 100,000ක් හෝ ඊට වැඩි ගෙවීමක් කරන විට, එම ගෙවීමෙන් 5%ක බද්දක් රඳවාගෙන දේශීය ආදායම් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට ගෙවිය යුතුය. එම බදු මුදල වාර්ෂික ආදායම් බදු ගණනය කිරීමේදී අඩු කරගත හැකි අතර, බදු නිදහස් සීමාවට වඩා අඩු ආදායමක් ඇති පුද්ගලයන්ට එය ආපසු ලබාගැනීමේ හැකියාව ද පවතී.
