For Existing VAT Registered Business

VAT rate has increased from 15% to 18% with effect from 01.01.2024.

The new VAT rate is 18%.

You should Incorporate the new VAT rate in invoices to be raised from 1.1.2024.

VAT on export is Zero-rated and no changes.

For New VAT to be registered Business

VAT threshold has decreased from 80 Mn to 60 Mn with effect from 01.01.2024.

The new VAT threshold for registration is 60Mn per annum (Revenue).

If your business annual turnover exceeds 60mn per annum you should register for VAT and issue VAT invoices.
