Congratulations to Captain Chalong Labanluang and crew of the vessel M.V. Rattana Naree for rescuing 6 distressed fishermen, drifting at sea between Tioman Island and the Riau Archipelago today morning.
Upon sighting these individuals, the ship's crew immediately initiated rescue operations to bring them on board, where they were provided medical assistance, food, water and dry clothing. The 6 fishermen are from Indonesia and were drifting at sea after their vessel sunk in bad weather on the morning of 1 September. They were safely disembarked at Batam Island in Indonesia this evening. We are very proud of our seafarers for their courage, professionalism and the exemplary ex*****on of the rescue operation. There is no greater honour than saving people's lives!
