What is solar energy and how does it work?
The sun is a magnificent and renewable resource that has the ability to sustain life on Earth by providing clean, renewable energy to all of its inhabitants. In fact, the sun sends more energy to our planet in an hour than the entire world’s population uses in a year. Solar photovoltaic (PV) modules turn the sun’s energy into electricity.
What is the mechanism of solar energy and why should we use it?
PV modules capture sunlight and transform it into an electrical current that may be used. Because the sun shines all over the earth, solar energy can be used anyplace. Solar electric systems can be used with batteries to store energy. Solar electric systems can be self-contained and independent of the utility grid, making them cost-effective in distant areas. Because solar modules have no moving parts, they are low-maintenance and offer a lengthy service life of 25+ years of guaranteed electricity. Because solar electricity uses the sun as its source of energy, there is no need to drill for, refine, or transport petroleum-based fuels to the location. As you can see, solar energy has numerous advantages.
The solar energy business is expanding.
We can move away from other polluting and unsustainable energy sources by designing and installing PV systems on a broad scale. Because the solar sector is expanding, so is the demand for competent workers. Remote Energy (RE) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that teaches women and men all over the world how to harness the power of the sun and develop the technical PV design and installation skills they need to provide clean energy and positive change to their communities. Technician training programs give the practical skills that a rising workforce requires to be competent and competitive. Local trainers are given material, mentorship opportunities, and the skills they need to meet current area training needs through solar educator training programs
