වෙළදපොළේ කිසිවිටෙකත් සහල් හිගයක් ඇතිවිය නොහැකි අතර ජනතාවට සහන මිලකට සහල් ලබාදීම සදහා නිසි ක්රමවේදයක් කඩිනමින් ක්රියාවට නැංවිය යුතු බව ජනාධිපතිතුමා අවධාරණය කරයි.
ජනාධිපති ගරු මෛත්රීපාල සිරිසේන මැතිතුමා සහ සහල් මෝල් හිමියන් හා සහල් ආනයනකරුවන් අතර හමුවක් අද (14) දහවල් ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේදී පැවැත්වුණු අතර එහිදී ජනාධිපතිතුමා මේ බව අවධාරණය කළේය.
සහල් ආනයනයේදී ලබාදී ඇති බදු සහනය උපරිම අයුරින් පොදු ජනතාව වෙත ලබාදිය යුතු බවද ජනාධිපතිතුමා මෙහිදී අවධාරණය කළේය.
වෙළෙදපොළේ සහල් හිගයක් ඇතිවීමට ඉඩ නොතබා සාමාන්ය ජනතාව පීඩාවට පත් නොවන අයුරින් සහන මිලකට සහල් ලබාදීම සියලූදෙනාගේ වගකීමක් බව ද ජනාධිපතිතුමා පැවසීය.
දේශීය සහ විදේශීය සහල් සදහා උපරිම මිල දෙකක් නියම කිරීමට ද ජනාධිපතිතුමා නිලධාරින්ට උපදෙස් දුන්නේය.
එමෙන්ම අවශ්ය ඕනෑම අවස්ථාවක භාවිතයට ගත හැකිවන පරිදි සහල් මෙටිට්රික් ටොන් ලක්ෂයක් රජය සතු ගබඩාවල පවත්වාගෙන යාමට අවශ්ය පියවර ගන්නා ලෙසද කර්මාන්ත හා වාණිජ්ය කටයුතු අමාත්ය රිෂාඩ් බදුර්දීන් මහතා වෙත උපදෙස් දෙනු ලැබීය.
සහල් මෝල් හිමියන් මුහුණ දී ඇති ගැටලූ සහ සහල් මිල පිළිබද පවතින ගැටලූවට ලබාදිය හැකි විසදුම් පිළිබද යෝජනා ද මෙහිදී ජනාධිපතිතුමා වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කෙරිණි.
අමාත්යවරුන් වන රවී කරුණානායක, රිෂාඩ් බදුර්දීන්, පී. හැරිසන් යන මහත්වරුන් ද ජනාධිපති ලේකම් පී.බී. අබේකෝන් මහතා ඇතුලූ නිළධාරින් ද මෙම සාකච්ඡාවට එක්ව සිටියහ.
சந்தையில் ஒருபோதும் அரிசிக்கு தட்டுப்பாடு ஏற்படாத வகையில் மக்களுக்கு சலுகை விலையில் அரிசியைப் பெற்றுக்கொடுப்பதற்கான ஒரு முறைமை உடனடியாக நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும் என ஜனாதிபதி கௌரவ மைத்ரிபால சிறிசேன அவர்கள் தெரிவித்தார்.
அரிசி ஆலை உரிமையாளர்கள் மற்றும் அரிசி இறக்குமதியாளர்களுடன் இன்று (14) பிற்பகல் ஜனாதிபதி அலுவலகத்தில் இடம்பெற்ற சந்திப்பின் போதே ஜனாதிபதி இதனைத் தெரிவித்தார்.
அரிசி இறக்குமதிக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ள வரிச்சலுகை அதிகளவில் மக்களுக்கு பெற்றுக்கொடுக்கப்படவேண்டும் என்றும் ஜனாதிபதி குறிப்பிட்டார்.
சந்தையில் அரிசிக்கு தட்டுப்பாடு ஏற்பட இடம்வைக்காது எந்தவொரு சந்தர்ப்பத்திலும் மக்கள் பாதிப்படையாத வகையில் சலுகை விலையில் அரிசியை பெற்றுக்கொடுப்பது அனைவரினதும் பொறுப்பாகும் என்று ஜனாதிபதி தெரிவித்தார்.
உள்நாட்டு, வெளிநாட்டு அரிசிக்கு இரண்டு உச்ச விலைகளை நிர்ணயிக்கவும் ஜனாதிபதி அதிகாரிகளுக்கு ஆலோசனை வழங்கினார்.
தேவையான எந்தவொரு சந்தர்ப்பத்திலும் பயன்படுத்தத்தக்க வகையில் ஒரு இலட்சம் மெட்ரிக் தொன் அரிசியை அரசாங்க களஞ்சியசாலைகளில் களஞ்சியப்படுத்திவைக்கத் தேவையான நடவடிக்கைகளை எடுக்குமாறு கைத்தொழில், வாணிபத் துறை அமைச்சர் ரிசாத் பதியுதீனுக்கு ஆலோசனை வழங்கப்பட்டது.
அரிசி ஆலை உரிமையாளர்கள் முகம்கொடுத்துள்ள பிரச்சினைகள் மற்றும் அரிசி விலை தொடர்பான பிரச்சினைகளுக்கு வழங்கக்கூடிய தீர்வுகள் தொடர்பான முன்மொழிவுகள் ஜனாதிபதியிடம் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
அமைச்சர்களான ரவீ கருணாநாயக்க, ரிசாத் பதியுதீன், பீ ஹரிசன், ஜனாதிபதியின் செயலாளர் பீ.பீ அபேகோன் உள்ளிட்ட அதிகாரிகளும் இந்த சந்திப்பில் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.
President Maithripala Sirisena emphasized that there should not be room for shortage of rice in the market as well as, an appropriate mechanism should be implemented promptly to provide rice to the public at subsidiary rates.
He made these remarks during a meeting with the rice mill owners and the rice importers , held at the Presidential Secretariat, today (14).
The President further said that the tax reliefs given when importing rice into the country, should be given to the public at their maximum level.
“It is the responsibility of all, to provide rice at a concessionary rate to the public without leaving any room to emerge rice shortage in the market”, the President added.
The President directed officials to declare maximum prices for local and imported rice.
He also directed the Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen to take actions to maintain 100000 metric tons of rice in government stores to be used at any required time.
The proposals for the solutions for the issues faced by the owners of rice mills and also the problems about the price of the rice were presented to the President during this meeting.
Ministers Ravi Karunanayake, Rishad Bathiudeen, P. Harrison and the Secretary to the President P. B. Abeykoon were among those joined this discussion.
