Anton Dorokhov and Elizaveta Savina from Russia recently joined the Ceylon Gem Expedition at the Gemological Institute of Ceylon in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka.

During this 4-day intensive experience, they explored the real journey of gemstones from mine to market ,including traditional gem mining, machinery mining, gem cutting, Geuda heat treatment, rough and polished gem markets, and visits to tea plantations, a gem museum, and a national park.

Anyone passionate about gemstones can join ,no prior gemology knowledge required.
