New Rathna Rice Pvt Ltd is a professionally managed organization that started with deep vision,
strong commitment, Eco-friendly and enthusiasm to provide the rice consuming peoples of
Republic of Sri Lanka. It was initially embraced the opportunity in the early 1981 C.E with five employees and based on
the part of rice heartland in Sri Lanka called ancient kingdom of Polonnaruwa in the North
Centr

al. The foundation of the business was emerged with many challenges, difficulties and failures. Drying paddy in small yard with direct sunlight, low storage facility, small number of quality
paddy suppliers, basic technology and inadequate distribution network said to us how to be a key
player in the domain of Agriculture industry. The initial year’s witnesses make the path to success
in the field of business. Steady effort and hard work of the first staff member to last including good management
practices, continuous improvements of technology and an extensive product portfolio helped to
New Rathna to became a household name and the market leader in the country. After everything that happened earlier now we are armed with the newest technology, vast storage
facility, highest quality paddy suppliers, island wide distribution network and empowered with
the strongest committed man powers. Consequently we took the place of forefront in the milling industry and then the leading rice
manufacturer & distributor in Sri Lanka.
