’S PLAN

After our usual Monday’s management meeting, Jehovahcares Austin one of my longest teammate at BudgIT Liberia walked on me with a “Welcome back” gifts from attending the World Movement for Democracy 12th Global Assembly held in Joburg.

In May 2022, Austin expressed interest in supporting the work we started 2020 at BudgIT Liberia. Over the years, he has committed himself to this “cause” serving different positions from volunteer roles to core member of the team. I have worked with couple of young people, but Austin’s commitment and dedication are rare in our generation.

Thanks so kindly Jehovahcares Austin for unmatched support to the BudgITship. You guys are the real MVPs, Kudos!

I appreciate you recognizing the little things we do at BudgIT Liberia and Liberia at large. May God replenished wherever this came from in abundance.

Today, I joined other civil society Actors at the 1st CSO and Government of Liberia consultation meeting aimed at developing the ARREST AGENDA for INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT (AAID). It’s the Government developmental plan from 2024-2029. The AAID appears promising and ambitious but there are eminent threats like unpredictable source of financing to achieve its aspirations. This and many others need to be addressed if the AAID should be achieved.

BudgIT Liberia launched its Governance Clinic flagship program. The Governance Clinic provides a platform for governmental and none governmental actors to identify and address ills in our governance sector through a multi stakeholder approach. Thanks to Mr Lawrence Yealue, Country Director, Accountability Lab who served as chief launcher for the program, Mr. G Ralph Jimmeh Jr., Head of Secretariat, Open Government Partnership, panelist, and Mr. Wil Teddy who moderated the panel discussion.

To Books Before Boys INC, we look forward to more of these partnerships.
