Fuel prices are rising globally, but the sun is not.

Across Africa, petrol and diesel prices are increasing sharply, making irrigation more expensive and unpredictable for farmers. When your farming depends on fuel, your costs are no longer in your control.

120W solar panel
High-efficiency SF2 water pump
Conversion kit (up to 10m depth)
User manual + tools
Free extension support (2 growing seasons)
After-sales support (2 seasons)

Pricing Options:

Cash: $820 (one-time payment)
Flexible Plan: $975
$225 upfront

This is not just a product — it’s cost control, resilience, and long-term productivity.

Who can apply?
✔ Farmer groups (3–5 members minimum)
✔ Cooperative members
✔ Active in crop production
✔ Willing to operate under group accountability

Fuel prices will keep going up.

When we started this tailoring program in B**g County, we didn’t just see 50 women.
We saw 50 economic stories waiting to change.

Our baseline data was honest and sobering:

• 42% are single mothers carrying full household responsibility
• 76% are youth (18–35 years)
• Average monthly income: just USD 28
• Most were using manual machines, producing fewer than 5 garments per week

That is survival-level income. Not growth. Not stability.

Today?
The training is progressing powerfully.

Inside the classroom and workshops, these women are:

✔ Operating solar-powered sewing machines
✔ Producing structured school uniforms
✔ Mastering measurement and finishing techniques
✔ Learning pricing, bookkeeping, and customer management
✔ Building real, scalable microenterprises

And by the end of April, we will celebrate something bigger than graduation.

We will celebrate 50 women transitioning from subsistence tailoring to solar-powered entrepreneurship.

This is what economic empowerment looks like:

Not charity.
Not theory.
But productive assets + skills + clean energy + market demand.

Fifty women.
Dozens of households impacted.
A new generation of youth-led, women-led businesses emerging in B**g County.

April will not just mark the end of training.
It will mark the beginning of 50 enterprises.

Clean energy is not the outcome.
Economic value is.

In 2025, Eco-Energy focused on turning solar access into measurable returns - for farmers, women entrepreneurs, and last-mile markets across Liberia.

Our Impact Report 2025 shows:

🟢 ➜ How solar irrigation unlocked dry-season farming and higher farm incomes
🟢 ➜ How women entrepreneurs converted energy into profitable businesses
🟢 ➜ How bundled solutions (technology + training + after-sales support) improved adoption and repayment
🟢 ➜ What our field data reveals about demand, unit economics, and readiness to scale

This is not a branding document.

It is an impact report for investors, partners, and institutions looking for solutions that perform in real markets.

📘 Eco-Energy Impact Report 2025 — launching soon

30/01/2026

Turning the tide is no longer a promise; it’s a reality in motion.

With every stitch made on our solar-powered sewing machines, women are turning skill into income and effort into opportunity. This is what last-mile impact looks like: practical tools in the hands of women who are building livelihoods, strengthening households, and shaping local economies, without relying on unreliable power.

We are not just deploying technology. We are enriching lives, unlocking dignity through work, and ensuring that no community is too remote to thrive.

Today, the three-month intensive solar tailoring training officially kicked off under the project Empowering Inclusive Agrifood and Microenterprise Systems through Solar Refrigeration, Tailoring, and Market Integration in Liberia.

This marks a key implementation milestone, the point where donor support is translating directly into skills, productivity, and livelihoods.

The training is structured into two daily sessions to ensure quality instruction and hands-on practice. The first session runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the second session runs from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with 25 students per session, bringing the total cohort to 50 women. The program focuses on modern tailoring, solar-powered sewing machine operation, basic maintenance, and enterprise readiness.

The training is delivered in partnership with Liberia Opportunities Industrialization Center (LOIC), with clean energy integration and productive-use systems led by Eco-Energy.

This training is the gateway to economic participation. It is designed to prepare women, many of them single mothers and out-of-school youth, to transition into productive, income-generating tailoring enterprises powered by clean energy. Completion of this phase determines eligibility for the post-training enterprise rollout.

Today, Eco-Energy successfully conducted a Training of Trainers (TOT) under the RUFORUM-supported initiative, “Powering Inclusive Agrifood Systems through Solar Refrigeration, Tailoring, and Market Integration in Liberia.”

This TOT focused specifically on Pillar 2: Solar Sewing for Rural Women, strengthening trainer capacity on the full solar sewing machine package, installation, safe operational use, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance, to ensure trainers are fully prepared to support participants throughout the rollout.

The session emphasized hands-on practice, including proper solar setup, machine handling and safety, daily care routines, and simple maintenance steps that help prevent breakdowns and extend machine life. This is a key step in preparing for the three-month intensive tailoring training and business skills development program that will empower 50 women entrepreneurs to establish sustainable tailoring startups in B**g County.

Through this work, we are not only building tailoring skills—we are building women-led enterprises, supporting livelihoods, and creating a pathway for inclusive green jobs and long-term resilience.

We are pleased to announce the successful conduct of a joint orientation session for students and trainers under the Solar Sewing for Women Entrepreneurs program in Gbarnga.

Held in partnership with LOIC Liberia, the orientation officially marked the beginning of a transformative journey that will see 50 women—some of them single mothers and out-of-school youth—trained and graduated through a structured vocational and enterprise-focused program.

The training is designed in two clear phases:

A. Three months of intensive, in-center training at LOIC, followed by

B. Nine months to 24 months of supervised, out-of-center on-the-job training at Eco-Energy’s modern tailoring hub in Gbarnga.

During the three-month in-center phase, participants will receive training in modern tailoring and fashion skills, including garment construction, fitting, finishing, embroidery, pattern interpretation, and quality control, using electric and modern solar-powered sewing machines. In parallel, the program will deliver business skills development, covering basic entrepreneurship, pricing and costing, customer relations, record-keeping, savings, and planning—equipping participants not only to sew, but to run sustainable tailoring businesses.

The nine-month out-center phase will enable participants to apply both their technical and business skills in a real production environment, strengthening productivity, professionalism, and income readiness.

Beyond the technical content, the orientation created space for honest and emotional conversations. Some participants shared painful experiences of raising children without stable financial support, struggling as out-of-school youth, and watching their children drop out of school due to unpaid school fees. These stories underscored that this initiative is not just about tailoring—it is about restoring dignity, rebuilding confidence, and creating hope.

Through this program, tailoring becomes more than a trade; it becomes a pathway to survival, stability, and growth. For many of these rural women, it offers a renewed opportunity to support their families, keep their children in school, and move toward economic independence. The determination and smiles witnessed during the orientation reaffirm the value this project brings to communities.

At Eco-Energy, we remain committed to empowering women with practical skills, business knowledge, and clean energy solutions that create lasting impact.

We are pleased to share the successful completion of a feasibility study conducted under the RUFORUM-supported project focused on strengthening market systems through innovative, solar-powered solutions in Liberia.

As part of this process, we engaged directly with fishmongers, market sellers, and other value chain actors, listening to their experiences, challenges, and perspectives. These interactions were essential in grounding the study in real market conditions and ensuring that the next phase of the project is responsive to the needs of those at the forefront of local trade and livelihoods.

The feasibility study marks an important milestone in the project’s implementation. We are now consolidating the findings and preparing to share key outcomes and next steps in the coming weeks.

More updates soon as the project progresses.

At Eco-Energy, rural prosperity begins at the last mile—where access is hardest and solutions must be local. That is why women from the communities we serve are leading the delivery and installation of solar systems in their own villages.

When local women bring solar power to households, they deliver more than light. They create income, extend productive hours, and ensure that clean energy truly reaches those who need it most.

This is sustainable energy done right—last-mile delivery by local women, for local communities.
