At APM Terminals Liberia, being a worker means more than a role - it’s about showing up every day to keep Liberia moving forward.

As shared by one of our team members, Lois S. Gborplay Sayon, “For me, being a worker means contributing to progress every single day.”

That spirit lives across the Freeport of Monrovia - where every container handled, every ship received, and every task completed supports trade, jobs, and growth across the country.

This Workers’ Day, we celebrate the people who keep Liberia’s trade moving.

Happy Workers’ Day to All!

Members of the press were hosted last week at APM Terminals for an open and constructive exchange.

This session provided an opportunity to share updates on progress at the Freeport of Monrovia, from operational improvements to ongoing investment in equipment and local capability as well as to highlight the broader role the port plays in supporting Liberia’s trade.

CELEBRATING THE WOMEN WHO MOVE US FORWARD! 💜

APM Terminals Liberia proudly marked International Women’s Day 2026 under the theme “Give to Gain.”

Our celebration kicked off on Thursday with a lively Zumba wellness session, bringing colleagues together to move, recharge, and celebrate the spirit of women in our workplace. On Friday, our Women joined the annual International Women’s Day parade, standing alongside other incredible Liberian women from different sectors and institutions to honor the achievements and contributions of women across Liberia.

At APM Terminals Liberia, we believe that when we uplift and empower women, everyone gains.

Happy International Women’s Day! 💜💜💜

This week’s International Women’s Day spotlight highlights the women whose skills and leadership keep Liberia’s gateway to global trade moving.

Today’s feature introduces a trailblazer shaping the future of quayside operations!

Edwina Mowon, Berth Supervisor | APM Terminals Liberia

Edwina is the first female Berth Supervisor at APM Terminals Liberia, taking on a role that has long been male‑dominated. She coordinates vessel operations at the berth, working with crane operators, tally clerks and operation teams to ensure cargo is handled safely and efficiently. Her leadership, focus on safety and commitment to teamwork play a vital role in keeping Liberia’s supply chain moving.

Edwina’s story reflects this year’s International Women’s Day theme – Give to Gain. When women are supported to grow and lead, organizations benefit from stronger operations, diverse ideas and teams that represent their communities.

Our Year-End Dinner was a powerful reminder that our greatest achievements are built on people, purpose, and shared values.

We witnessed proud moments as our interns and graduate trainees were certified, honoring their hard work and bright futures ahead. We paused to celebrate our retiring and long-serving team members, whose commitment and legacy will always remain part of our story. We also embraced joy and connection through the crowning of our King and Queen, reinforcing our commitment to employee engagement and a strong workplace culture.

Moments like these reflect the spirit of APM Terminals Liberia, where growth is nurtured, contributions are valued, and every individual matters as we move forward together.
