๐ OH YESโTHE JOURNEY CONTINUES! OUR FIRST COHORT GRADUATES TODAY!
Today, August 30, 2026, marks a proud and historic milestone for the Gusceman SMART Entrepreneurship and Digital Education Program (SMART-EDEP) as we celebrate the graduation of our pioneering first cohort.
And oh yesโour graduation took place right at our own Gusceman facility! Celebrating this achievement in the same environment where learning, growth, innovation, and transformation occurred made the occasion even more meaningful. Our facility is becoming more than a training centerโit is a home for ideas, skills development, entrepreneurship, and future leaders.
The journey began on Monday, July 6, 2026, with our inaugural Digital Literacy class. Participants entered the program with dreams, determination, and a willingness to learn. Today, they leave with practical skills, expanded knowledge, greater confidence, and a renewed entrepreneurial attitude.
One of the most unique and inspiring features of this cohort was our special Young People and Kids Session. It ran alongside the main program and went exceptionally well. Watching our children and young people engage with technology, explore new ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and express their creativity reminded us that digital empowerment must begin early.
Every child introduced to technology, creativity, entrepreneurship, and responsible leadership receives a stronger foundation for the future. We are proud to be part of building that foundationโhelping prepare a generation that will not simply consume technology but use it to learn, innovate, solve problems, and transform communities.
From the beginning, our Founder and CEO, Hon. Augustus Jonathan Flomo, challenged participants to take their futures into their own hands. He encouraged them to see themselves not only as job seekers but also as innovators, creators, entrepreneurs, problem-solvers, and future leaders capable of transforming their communities.
To our graduates: today is not the end of your journeyโit is the beginning of your responsibility.
Continue to learn. Embrace technology. Identify problems and create solutions. Turn your ideas into enterprises, create opportunities for others, and use your knowledge to move Liberia forward.

As SMART-EDEP moves forward, we envision expanding into additional practical entrepreneurship and livelihood initiatives, including pastry and food enterprise, cosmetology and personal care, driving and logistics, and other demand-driven programs.
We congratulate every member of our first cohort and celebrate the young people and children who participated so enthusiastically. We also appreciate our dedicated training team, parents, partners, supporters, and everyone who helped make this achievement possible.
