VOLUNTEEER OPPORTUNITIES

Overview

The Liberia Events and Marketing Services-LEMS in collaboration with TUNESLIBERIA.COM will host the first ever TUNESLIBERIA Music Awards at the end of this year. The awards show will cover different categories of the art of music as it is aim towards motivating and promoting artist, producers, sound engineers, DJs, Radio and Television Personalities for their hard works over the year and the Liberia Music Industry.



As plans are ongoing to make the award event(s) successful, LEMS as the event planning and management team, is determine to use bright and skilled individuals to volunteer their time and services to make the event a reality. Assignment areas will include both the cities of Monrovia and Paynesville. We are recruiting young people in the following categories:



High School (10 students)



1. 15years and above

2. Must be a senior high student during the time of submission of application (10th, 11th and 12th Graders)

3. Resident of Montserrado County

4. Be willing to work at most nine hours of the week (Thursday, Friday and Saturday)

5. Must have good communication skills (reading, writing and speaking)

6. Innovative, determine, and courteous



University (15 students)



1. 18 years and above

2. Must be a student of;

- Public Administration

- Management

- Accounting

- Sociology

- Statistics

Additional skills include: tailoring, decoration, makeup artists, models (5’7’’ or above), video and photographing, computer knowledge (social media), and paint artist

3. Resident of Montserrado County

4. Be willing to work at most twenty hours of the week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday)

5. Must have good communication skills (reading, writing and speaking)

6. Innovative, determine, and courteous

Ladies and Gentlemen:

We are extending the biggestest thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported the Liberia Events & Marketing Services (LEMS) charity Basketball tournament, in support of the MONROVIA YMCA Vacation Basketball Program 2017. Saturday, March 4, was well spent. The level of support before, during and after, was overwhelming and breathtaking. We had it well organized and well attended.

Great LEMS' Team, great partners like; Cornelia Kruah-Togba (Mrs. T. Inc.), Mr. Mahmud Johnson (J-Palm Liberia, Kernel Fresh), Stonecipher B. Mulbah (YMCA), George Liberian (Creamy, Crunchy, Delight), Dani Munoz, Omar J. Facuse, Marouf Dambeley, Porcshe Stewart, Abalo Tehoungue, Angel R. Buckle and a whole lot of other great people who had our back all through the planning and implementation of this well meaning initiative. To the attendees and the volunteers who played basketball for a good cause, I salute you.

LEMS hosts it's first event on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 3-8p.m at the YMCA gym. A Charity Basketball tournament that will promote the image of the MONROVIA YMCA Vacation Basketball Program. The theme of the tournament is "GIVE BACK TO THE Y". Proceeds from this tournament will sponsor 10 kids and purchase materials for the program during this year's vacation at the Y.
Tickets are now on sale for the following prices:
1. Patron - $50.00 USD (gets 2 extra entries)
2. Sponsor - $20.00 USD (gets 1extra entry)
3. Regular - $250.00 LRD (gets 1 bottle of kernel fresh)

Come and watch teams of Alumni (female and make teams) of the YMCA, the Monrovia Old Timer, and the Liberia Expat Community.
Food, drinks and African prints will be on sale too. Extra fundraiser comes along during half times. Come and let's reunite the spirit of friendships once more.
