Thank you, Liberia. Thank you, diaspora.
On Saturday, more than 300 of you joined our Global Town Hall from across North America, Europe, Africa, and home in Liberia. In 90 minutes, we filled the room, and then some. Everyone who joined asked a question in the chat, or tried to get in and couldn't: thank you. We saw you, and we are already making room for more.
Here is what we covered:

A keynote from the Office of the President — Samuel A. Stevquoh, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, representing H.E. President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, on progress under the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development, and on the diaspora's role as partner, investor, and honest critic.

LDAC 2026: September 25–27, Virginia/Maryland corridor. Our theme this year is "From Dialogue to Delivery." Two days built around vision and results — a presidential address, the Diaspora One-Stop Shop, a Service Desk, the Diaspora Awards Gala, the Made in Liberia Marketplace, and the Startup Pitch Competition. Registration has passed 740, and seats are finite.

Diaspora Annual Return: December 1–31, 2026 — "Many Roots, One Home." A full month at home, built on seven pillars, anchored by four signature events: the Peace & Reconciliation Dialogue (Dec 17), the Heritage & Impact Awards (Dec 19), the Christmas Cantata for orphans (Dec 20), and the One Liberia March (Dec 30). Plus "31 Days of Impact” one person, organization, or business spotlighted every single day of December. About 20 organizations have already signed up. Yours can be next.

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Date – The Government of Liberia through the Office of Diaspora Affairs in the office of the President is pleased to officially announce the upcoming Liberia Diaspora Annual Conference 2026. The Liberia Diaspora annual Conference is scheduled to take place from September 25–27, 2026, in Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area, United States of America.

This year’s conference, held under the theme “From Dialogue to Delivery,” marks a pivotal transition from policy conversations to tangible outcomes, emphasizing the Liberian government’s commitment to harnessing the vast potential of its diaspora for measurable national development.

A STRATEGIC SHIFT TOWARDS IMPLEMENTATION
Building on the momentum of the historic inaugural conference in 2025, which attracted over 700 in-person delegates and more than 1,300 virtual participants from 43 countries, this year's gathering is designed to convert dialogue into concrete investment and innovation. The conference aligns with President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) and the Diaspora Strategic Plan (2024-2027).

“Last year, we proved what’s possible. This year, we deliver,” is a decisive move to mobilize diaspora capital for Liberia’s economic transformation.

HIGH-LEVEL ENGAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
The conference is being spearheaded by a high-powered National planning Committee. Ambassador Emmett Dunn serves as Chairman of the Planning Committee, with Ambassador MacDella Cooper as Vice Chair and Rev. Dr. Francis O.S. Tabla as Vice Chair for Operations, respectively.

The committee comprises representatives from key Government Ministries and Agencies alongside international partners such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

CONFERENCE AGENDA AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES
The conference agenda is structured to maximize engagement and results:
• September 25-26: High-impact investment engagement sessions linking diaspora entrepreneurs with viable local opportunities.
• September 27: A Presidential Town hall meeting designed to connect government leadership directly with the diaspora community.

Discussions will focus on mobilizing diaspora capital, advancing innovation and technology, strengthening entrepreneurship, and expanding investment opportunities in key sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, and education. Organizers anticipate significant progress on establishing a Diaspora Investment Fund, a Diaspora Engagement Commission, and Diaspora Savings Bonds.

A CALL TO ACTION
The Office of Diaspora Affairs in the office of the President urges all Liberians and friends of Liberia across North America, Europe, and the global community to participate in this landmark event.
