Approximately 60 Basotho entrepreneurs participated in the Botswana–Lesotho Business Forum held in Gaborone, Botswana, from 17–18 June 2026, benefiting from knowledge-sharing, networking opportunities, and engagement with regional stakeholders.

With 10 Basotho businesses exhibiting their products and services, the forum served as a powerful platform for increasing brand visibility, connecting with international customers, and showcasing the innovation and potential of Basotho enterprises.

This initiative reflects BEDCO's ongoing commitment to its mandate of promoting the development of Basotho-owned enterprises. By facilitating access to markets, business development opportunities, strategic partnerships, and entrepreneurial support services, BEDCO continues to strengthen the competitiveness of local businesses and drive sustainable economic growth in Lesotho.

The Lesotho Enterprises Development Corporation (BEDCO), in support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, invites eligible Basotho startups to apply for the AfCFTA Startup Acceleration Programme 2026.

This programme is a flagship initiative under the AfCFTA–Korea Africa Foundation (KAF) Partnership, designed to support 30 high-potential African startups in expanding into international markets, particularly the Republic of Korea.

Important Notice

BEDCO recently received this invitation through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations and is sharing it with the business community as soon as possible. Due to the short notice received, interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications at the earliest opportunity before the deadline.

Please note that BEDCO is not the implementing agency for this programme and is only facilitating the dissemination of this opportunity to eligible startups on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations.

Have innovative and scalable business models.
Demonstrate readiness for international expansion.
Show a strong interest in entering Korean and global markets.
