Congratulations Relebohile Jrc Mohloki

Meet Marelebohile Mohloki, the sixth fellow of Lesotho’s 2025 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders cohort.

Marelebohile is a passionate and tireless community advocate dedicated to raising awareness about drug abuse and improving care for elderly populations in Lesotho. In a country where access to rehabilitation and elderly support services is scarce, Marelebohile has stepped up to fill critical gaps by educating communities on the dangers of substance abuse and providing compassionate assistance to vulnerable seniors who often lack family or institutional care.

Her skillful approach to community engagement combines empathy, effective communication, and grassroots mobilization, enabling her to build trust and foster meaningful dialogue in diverse settings. Marelebohile has successfully organized workshops, support groups, and outreach campaigns that not only inform but also empower individuals to make healthier life choices.

Her efforts have contributed to strengthening local support networks, promoting social inclusion, and paving the way for sustainable social solutions that address both immediate needs and long-term challenges in Lesotho.

Marelebohile will spend six weeks at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, under the Leadership in Public Management track, where she is eager to enhance her skills and develop more effective strategies to serve her community. We are proud to spotlight her inspiring journey!
