As we enter a new year...at Molumo Holdings we look forward to contributing immensely in waste management in Lesotho through:
1. community based recycling programs
2. Continued export of plastic, glass, paper and e waste to recycling mills across the globe
3. Continuous research in waste management e.g vermicomposting of food waste
4. Increasing our both our unskilled and skilled labour force to drive a well oiled machine
We also look forward to establishing relationships in the hospitality and events management sector through Integrated Waste Management solutions, driven by diverting waste from landfills to recycling mills.
We are also very grateful to companies, organizations, individuals and communities- (we would like to thank the Nazareth Community in Maseru for being one the first communities to believe in community based recycling cooperative initiatives) that have have worked with us in 2025 and we look forward to strengthening our relationship with you in 2026.
We remain committed to our company motto "thinking sustainability". As thus we shall continue to align ourselves with the Sustainable Development Goals-Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12 drives waste management efforts, focusing on reducing generation through prevention, recycling, and reuse by 2030, promoting sustainable consumption, and managing chemicals and waste environmentally soundly. Effective waste management links to other SDGs, improving health (SDG 3), reducing inequality (SDG 10), boosting clean energy (SDG 7), and ensuring clean water (SDG 6) by preventing pollution, creating green jobs, and fostering circular economies where waste becomes a resource, not a problem.
We also remain committed to working within national laws in waste management and and where limitations arise we shall use international conventions, ISO standards as guiding principles.
Having said all this we have set a target for diverting over 400 ton of waste (paper, plastic, glass, e waste, etc) from landfills
