Būtent todėl salono šviesos pritemdomos tais skrydžio etapais, kai tikimybė nutraukti skrydį yra didžiausia.

Dar vienas pavyzdys, kad aviacijoje net ir, atrodytų, nedidelės detalės yra apgalvotos siekiant užtikrinti saugą. 💡

The main reason is 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆. Dimming the cabin lights allows passengers' eyes to adjust to lower light conditions. In the unlikely event of an emergency evacuation during takeoff or landing, passengers can orient themselves more quickly and spot emergency exits more easily.

That is why cabin lights are dimmed during the phases of flight when the likelihood of an aborted takeoff or emergency landing is highest.

Another example of how even the smallest details in aviation are carefully designed with safety in mind. 💡

Ar žinojote, kad kiekviename keleivinio lėktuvo lange yra maža skylutė? ✈️

Ji vadinama slėgio reguliavimo anga (breather hole) ir atlieka svarbų vaidmenį skrydžio saugumui.

Lėktuvo langas sudarytas iš kelių sluoksnių. Ši maža anga padeda sureguliuoti slėgį tarp jų, todėl didžioji slėgio apkrova tenka išoriniam, o ne vidiniam lango sluoksniui.

Be to, ji padeda išvengti drėgmės kaupimosi tarp stiklų, todėl langai mažiau rasoja ir keleiviai gali aiškiai matyti vaizdą per langą.

Nors dauguma keleivių jos net nepastebi, ši maža detalė yra dar vienas pavyzdys, kaip aviacijoje net menkiausi sprendimai prisideda prie saugos. ✅

Did you know that every passenger aircraft window has a tiny hole? ✈️

Known as a breather hole, this small opening plays an important role in keeping the window safe throughout the flight.

Aircraft windows are made up of multiple layers. The breather hole helps regulate the pressure between them, ensuring that most of the pressure difference is absorbed by the outer pane rather than the inner one.

It also helps prevent moisture from building up between the window layers, reducing fogging and keeping the view outside clear.

Small enough to go unnoticed by most passengers, this tiny hole is another example of how even the smallest details in aviation are carefully designed with safety in mind. ✅

Ar žinojote, kad prie kiekvieno stovinčio orlaivio ratų dedami specialūs stabdžiai, vadinami wheel chocks? ✈️

Vos tik orlaivis sustoja stovėjimo vietoje, jie pastatomi prie ratų tam, kad orlaivis netyčia nepajudėtų vykstant antžeminio aptarnavimo darbams.

Nors orlaivis turi savo stabdžių sistemą, wheel chocks suteikia papildomą saugos lygį. Jie naudojami viso aptarnavimo metu – kol kraunamas bagažas, pildomas kuras, atliekami techninės priežiūros darbai ar vyksta keleivių įlaipinimas.

Jie nuimami tik tada, kai orlaivis yra visiškai pasirengęs išvykti ir pagal nustatytą procedūrą gali pradėti judėti.

Nedidelė įranga, atliekanti itin svarbų vaidmenį užtikrinant saugias operacijas oro uosto perone. ✅

Did you know that special wheel chocks are placed against an aircraft's wheels every time it parks? ✈️

As soon as an aircraft arrives at its parking stand, wheel chocks are positioned to prevent any unintended movement during ground handling operations.

Although aircraft have their own braking systems, wheel chocks provide an additional layer of safety. They remain in place throughout the turnaround process while baggage is loaded, the aircraft is refueled, maintenance checks are carried out, and passengers board or disembark.

They are only removed once the aircraft is fully prepared for departure and cleared to begin moving in accordance with established procedures.

A simple piece of equipment, but one that plays a vital role in keeping airport apron operations safe. ✅

✈️ 𝗥𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀 „𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗻“ ž𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗹ė𝗸𝘁𝘂𝘃𝗼 – 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗶ų 𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗼𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹ų 🚨

Dauguma keleivių jo net nepastebi, tačiau oro uosto darbuotojams tai yra vienas svarbiausių signalų. Pamačius įjungtą raudoną „beacon“ žibintą, aišku viena - prie orlaivio reikia elgtis itin atsargiai ir laikytis saugaus atstumo.

🔴 Kai jis įjungtas, tai reiškia, kad lėktuvo varikliai veikia, netrukus bus paleisti arba orlaivis ruošiasi judėti. Tokiu metu prie orlaivio artintis griežtai draudžiama.

🌀 Priekyje reaktyviniai varikliai sukuria itin stiprią trauką, todėl per arti esantys daiktai, įranga ar net žmogus gali būti įtraukti į variklį.

💨 Pavojus yra ir už lėktuvo, variklių išpučiama oro srovė, vadinama jet blast, gali parversti žmogų ar pajudinti įrangą. Kai varikliai veikia pilna galia, pavojinga zona gali siekti net apie 150 metrų.

Būtent todėl oro uosto darbuotojai visada laikosi nustatytų atstumų, stebi signalus ir vadovaujasi aiškiomis procedūromis.

✈️ 𝗔 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 – 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 🚨

Most passengers never notice it, but for airport employees, it is one of the most important safety signals. When the red beacon light is flashing, one thing is clear - extra caution is required, and a safe distance must be maintained around the aircraft.

🔴 When the beacon light is activated, it means that the aircraft engines are running, are about to be started, or the aircraft is preparing to move. Approaching the aircraft at this time is strictly prohibited.

🌀 Jet engines create extremely powerful suction at the front, meaning that objects, equipment, or even a person standing too close can be pulled into the engine.

💨 There is also a danger behind the aircraft. The powerful airflow produced by the engines, known as jet blast, can knock people over or move heavy equipment. When engines are operating at full power, the hazardous area can extend up to around 150 metres.

That is why airport personnel always follow established safety distances, monitor aircraft signals, and work according to strict safety procedures.

Kam aviacijoje reikalinga fonetinė abėcėlė? 🤔

🎧 Ryšys tarp pilotų ir skrydžių valdymo vyksta radijo ryšiu. Tačiau ne visada garsas būna idealus, kartais girdimas triukšmas, trukdžiai ar tiesiog sunkiau suprasti tam tikras raides.

⚠️ Būtent todėl aviacijoje naudojama tarptautinė fonetinė abėcėlė.

Vietoj raidžių sakoma:
• A – Alpha
• B – Bravo
• C – Charlie
• D – Delta
• E – Echo

Ir taip toliau, iki pat Z, kuri aviacijoje vadinama „Zulu".

✈️ Pavyzdžiui, lėktuvo registracija LY-ABC radijo ryšiu būtų perduodama kaip „Lima Yankee Alpha Bravo Charlie“.

🌍 Ši sistema naudojama visame pasaulyje, todėl pilotai ir skrydžių vadovai vienodai supranta informaciją nepriklausomai nuo gimtosios kalbos ar akcento.

👨‍✈️ Viena neteisingai išgirsta raidė gali reikšti visai kitą orlaivį, maršrutą ar instrukciją, todėl aiškus bendravimas aviacijoje yra ypač svarbus.

✈️ Why does aviation use the phonetic alphabet? 🤔

In aviation, it helps prevent mistakes that can happen when letters are misheard.

🎧 Communication between pilots and air traffic controllers takes place over radio. However, radio transmissions are not always crystal clear, there can be noise, interference, or certain letters may sound similar.

⚠️ That’s why aviation uses the international phonetic alphabet.

Instead of letters, pilots say:

• A – Alpha

• B – Bravo

• C – Charlie

• D – Delta

• E – Echo

And so on, all the way to Z, which in aviation is called “Zulu.”

✈️ For example, an aircraft registration such as LY-ABC would be transmitted as “Lima Yankee Alpha Bravo Charlie.”

🌍 This system is used worldwide, allowing pilots and controllers to understand each other clearly regardless of language or accent.

👨‍✈️ A single misunderstood letter could refer to a different aircraft, route, or instruction, which is why clear communication is essential in aviation.

✈️ Ar dėl vieno keleivio lėktuvas gali leistis neplanuotai? 🤔

Trumpas atsakymas – taip, tam tikrais atvejais gali.

Jei lėktuvas jau pakilęs, keleivio išlaipinti neįmanoma. Tačiau tai nereiškia, kad įgula negali imtis veiksmų.

👩‍✈️ Jei keleivis trikdo kitus, nevykdo įgulos nurodymų ar kelia grėsmę saugumui, jis gali būti įspėtas, stebimas viso skrydžio metu, o nusileidus perduotas oro uosto ar teisėsaugos pareigūnams.

⚠️ Rimtais atvejais pilotas gali nuspręsti nutūpti kitame oro uoste anksčiau nei planuota.

💸 Toks sprendimas oro linijoms gali kainuoti dešimtis tūkstančių eurų, todėl keleiviui vėliau gali tekti padengti dalį ar net visas su incidentu susijusias išlaidas.

✈️ Aviacijoje galioja paprasta taisyklė – įgulos nurodymai yra privalomi, nes saugumas visada yra svarbiausias prioritetas.

✈️ Can an aircraft make an unscheduled landing because of a single passenger? 🤔
The short answer is – yes, in certain situations.

Once an aircraft has taken off, it is impossible to remove a passenger. However, that does not mean the crew cannot take action.

👩‍✈️ If a passenger is disruptive, refuses to follow crew instructions, or poses a safety risk, they may be warned, monitored throughout the flight, and handed over to airport security or law enforcement upon landing.

⚠️ In more serious cases, the captain may decide to divert the flight and land at a different airport.

💸 Such a decision can cost an airline tens of thousands of euros, and the passenger may ultimately be held responsible for some or all of the costs related to the incident.

✈️ In aviation, there is one simple rule – crew instructions are not optional, because safety always comes first.
