How can we make contemporary history research accessible and attractive to a broad public? That question was the starting point for the new magazine produced by the C2DH - Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History, a research centre at the University of Luxembourg. In the field of academic research, brochures generally contain lengthy texts about the methodology behind research projects. So our approach was to harness the power of images to attract the attention of history novices and spark an interest in the centre’s research topics.

The Jury of the Los Angeles based “ C2A Creative Communication Award” announced the winners - and "C²DH – Innovating & Sharing History"- has been awarded in the categorie “Other Print (Magazines, Newspapers, Calendars)”. 🤙🏼
The international jury (comprised of an international pool of creative industry professionals from art and creative directors, curators, publishers) was looking for “outstanding achievements in the fields of Design Excellence, Creativity and Originality”.

The Jury of the New York City based MUSE CREATIVE AWARDS just announced the winners. And the “Guttland.Trails”-website — created by Guido Kröger from ampersand.studio for Visit Guttland — has been awarded with a GOLD award 🏆 as the Category Winner in the categorie “Website / Tourism”.

Located right at the heart of Luxembourg, the “Guttland” region is known as a "slow tourism" destination. It boasts amazing scenery and heritage that is just waiting to be discovered. That’s why the Regional Tourism Office - Central/Western Luxembourg came up with it’s new project “Guttland.Trails”, which combines Guttland’s most beautiful circular walks under this new label.
The fully responsive website — designed as a scrollable one-pager and available in 3 languages — should be perceived as an invitation to discover those unspoilt Guttland-forests.

Having received over 6,000 entries from all over the globe, the MUSE Awards has shown to be one of the leading programs in honoring the excellence of creative professionals worldwide.

2 DNA Paris Design Awards 🏆🏆 for “Luci” and “Rugged” 🤙🏼

With entries from more than 70 countries, the DNA Paris Design Awards celebrated the winners in the 5 award-categories architecture, interior, landscape, product, graphic at the 2020 & 2021 Awards Ceremony at “La Caserne” in Paris — and ampersand.studio has been awarded with 2 awards for “Luci” and “Rugged”, both in the category “Graphic Design / Editorial”.

After the Red Dot Design Award 2020, the International Creative Media Award Silver, the German Design Award 2021, the C2A Creative Communication Award 2020, the MUSE Creative Awards 2021 Platinum, the MUSE Photography Awards 2021 Gold, the DNA Paris Design Awards 2021 it’s the 7th award received by “Luci”.

ampersand.studio deployed a team of 3 photographers in the heart of Luxembourg’s 14th night marathon to capture the atmosphere and emotions of this exceptional evening, and created "Rugged" - a magazine about running, packed with honest, unfiltered photography and inspirational stories. It's a testimony of the event. The first thing that struck you in "Rugged" is its fantastic photos. All of them aroused different emotions in you. Emotions that you felt before, during and after running. It is not necessarily the beauty that is sought through the photography, but the authenticity. With a print run of 13,000, ‘Rugged’ was sent to all runners of the 14th ING Night Marathon Luxembourg.

The Jury of the New York based MUSE Creative Awards announced the winners — and “LetzBingo” has been awarded with 2 GOLD awards in the categories “Website / Tourism” and “Event / Tourism”. 😍

“LetzBingo” — created by Guido Kröger from ampersand.studio — was part of "Lëtzebuerg, dat ass Vakanz" 2021 — a project of the Ministère de l'Économie, General Directorate for Tourism, in collaboration with Luxembourg for Tourism / Visit Luxembourg.

With over 8700 entries entered from all over the world, the 2021 MUSE Awards programs has shown itself to be one of the leading programs in honoring creative and design excellence.

The NYC based MUSE Creative Awards are aimed at creatives of varying industries, from graphic designers, typographers, business owners, freelancers, students, videographers, content managers, web designers, and mobile app developers.

Hosted by the International Awards Associate (IAA), the MUSE Awards are catering to professionals from various industries in hopes of promoting excellence in their respective fields.

"LetzBingo" is a fun summer game, a new and rather unusual way on how tourist but also locals and expats can connect with the country and its people during summertime. The global attitude of the summer game is "keep it simple". The fewer rules and requirements the better, the more likely people are to join.

The fully responsive website (www.letz.bingo) is therefore designed as a scrollable one-pager without any submenus. The LetzBingo card is downloadable with a simple click. Users can find helpful hints about the games and the locations via links to visitluxembourg.com or the 6 regional tourism office websites.
Tone of voice and wording is intentionally kept collegial and relaxed to support the playful/easy/open-minded character of the game.

The website is available in 4 languages: luxembourgish, french and german, as well as in english.

A social media campaign with several local ambassadors — organised and coordinated by Luxembourg for Tourism — ran during the LetzBingo period from mid-May to mid-September.
