Kordsa headquatered in Turkey & SCMM in Luxembourg partner to develop sustainable composite materials

The global leader in tire and construction reinforcement, composite technologies, and compounding, Kordsa, has joined forces with the Sustainable Composite Materials and Manufacturing (SCMM) Innovation Centre at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) to explore low-carbon footprint composite solutions.

With Kordsa’s expertise in reinforcement materials and SCMM’s cutting-edge research environment, the collaboration aims to create lightweight, durable, and sustainable materials for industries like automotive and aerospace.

“SCMM’s reputation for driving innovation in these areas made it an ideal partner,” explains Müge Arifoğlu Yenmez, Kordsa Chief Technology Officer & Regional General Manager, Composite EMEA. Both entities are in contact with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to better understand their needs and identify solutions to address key industry challenges.
