๐ What we build in space should serve humanity back on Earth.
As the International Space Summit closes, we are reflecting on the conversations, partnerships and milestones that brought this purpose to the forefront.
๐๐ซ๐ท We proudly welcomed President Emmanuel Macron and his delegation during their visit to the VORTEX model, alongside ministers Catherine Vautrin, Philippe Baptiste and Dorothee Bรคr. With BentoBoxโข featured in the cargo bay, the model demonstrated the key role Space Cargo Unlimited plays in payload operations and commercial market development for the VORTEX spaceplane consortium, alongside Dassault Aviation, and OHB SE.
๐คOn the summitโs central stage, we celebrated our Franco-German partnership with ATMOS Space Cargo. Together, weโre preparing a seven flight campaign combining BentoBoxโข with the PHOENIX 2.1 inflatable re-entry capsule. Our inaugural mission will carry 100 kg of commercial payload, marking the beginning of the largest autonomous in-space manufacturing capacity for Europe.
๐ฐ๏ธ Joining Max Haot of Vast, Hรฉlรจne Huby of The Exploration Company, Dr Walther Pelzer of the German Space Agency at DLR, and Frank De Winne of European Space Agency โ ESA, for the Exploration Post-ISS panel, our CEO, Nicolas Gaume delivered the clear message. Market-driven infrastructure, built around the needs of microgravity users, is fundamental to growing the low Earth orbit economy moving ahead.
Walther echoed this, stating: โThere must be no gap in capability for microgravity experiments.โ This is precisely the gap we are addressing by providing a single interface for microgravity across a growing fleet of vehicles, with mission operations beginning as soon as 2027.
๐ฌ Finally, during the Space Science for Humanity panel, Nicolas joined panalists from ISAS/JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) to share how at Space Cargo Unlimited we are establishing accessible pathways to orbit to enable scientists to use microgravity and make discoveries that would otherwise be impossible.
We extend our thanks to everyone we met throughout the Summit. We look forward to continuing the work together and building the infrastructure needed to expand what is possible in orbit, and deliver the benefits back to Earth. ๐
