🤩Looking back this Monday morning on a spectacular Friday event - An evening of musical excellence at the at this year's Europa Concert!

The 9th of May is Europe Day - The anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, 76 years ago, in 1950. This declaration signaled a new era of peace, integration and democratic cooperation in Europe, laying the foundations for the European Union of today.

As a nation, Luxembourg can be considered as one of the biggest advocates of the European Union – one of the six founding members next to Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands – understanding that a peaceful Europe can only be beneficial to all – locally and across borders.

As businesses, and as individuals, we naturally search for stability and harmony in uncertain times. The world as we know it is changing rapidly; We are constantly on the go, constantly moving. On Friday, surrounded by 400 guests, we enjoyed a moment of pause, a moment of reflection.

Antonin Dvořák’s “From the New World” and Anton Bruckner’s “Te Deum” – both intense works of symbolism – promised an evening of inspiration, thought, and emotion. And it delivered! 💥

Thank you to all the artists on stage - The European Academic Orchestra, Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale, the de Chambre de Luxembourg and the Académie pour Jeunes Voix du Chœur de Chambre de Luxembourg, following the lead of Antonio Grosu - for a beautiful night! 🙏

As part of this year's Earth Day initiatives, members of our team took part in the Climate Sense experience; a project created by the The Human Adaptation Institute and conceived by Christian Clot.

🤨 What is the Climate Sense experience?
An innovative truck, designed to simulate extreme weather condition, stop in Luxembourg during its tour, with the aim of exploring and illustrating the impacts of climate change on our daily lives.

Our participants had the opportunity to directly experience the challenges that lie ahead, feeling the effects of such temperatures on their bodies, their brains and on society.

🤨 And what did they have to say after the event?

“It’s one thing to read about rising temperatures, but experiencing them even briefly changes your entire perspective.”

“I was surprised by how quickly it affected my concentration and energy - This is not just an environmental issue, it’s a human one. It was intense, but incredibly eye-opening. It brought the reality of climate change closer than ever before.”

We got lucky with the weather, the vibe was great, and the adrenaline was flowing! 😎

Race for the Cure is Europe’s biggest sporting event for women’s health, helping breast cancer organisations and hospitals to collect funds and raise awareness.
