Fast response, strong ex*****on: 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗚𝗘 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺.⚙️

This project marked MDWind’s first dismantling of this turbine type, providing a valuable opportunity to expand our technical expertise.

Working on a demanding platform required tight coordination and a rigorous approach from start to finish. Crane operations were expertly handled by Sarens, ensuring safe and efficient lifting throughout the intervention.

🤝 A sincere thank you to Eneco Belgium for the strong collaboration and continuous support.

Great 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 all around made this intervention a success. 💪

Damaged wind turbines are never standard projects.

Whether caused by fire, overspeed or structural failure, each situation requires an individual approach. 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁.

⚙️ At MDWind, our 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 works closely with operational and project teams. This ensures that our projects are carried out efficiently, in a structured way and above all safely.

🔍 What does this mean in practice?
• Tailored method statements with integrated risk analysis
• Early identification of risks and immediate securing after an incident
• Technical calculations and in-house tools for precise solutions
• Fast response when urgent action is required
• Close collaboration between all teams

With over 16 years of experience, we support complex dismantling projects in a wide range of situations - safely, efficiently and reliably.

What happens to wind turbines after they are decommissioned?
➡️ Many components can still have significant operational value.

At MDWind, we believe in giving wind turbines a 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. By recovering high-quality parts from turbines like the 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘅 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗮 N90, we help operators keep existing fleets running while reducing waste.
A practical step toward a more circular wind industry. ♻️

⚡𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

A turbine fire on a French wind farm required a fast and structured response.
The objective: secure the site and organise a 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 in close coordination with all stakeholders.
Every fire situation is different. Structural stability, component condition and lifting constraints must be reassessed before operations can begin.

As part of this joint effort, our scope included:

📐 Dismantling 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 to define the dismantling and lifting sequence based on the actual condition of the machine.
🏗️ 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 and coordination to ensure safe and controlled operations on site.
🛠️ 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 throughout the dismantling phase to keep the project progressing.

The damaged turbine has now been safely removed and the site secured.

Thank you to everyone involved for the professional ex*****on under demanding conditions, especially to our client for the trust placed in us, the constant support, and the open and constructive cooperation throughout the project.
A special thanks to Sarens their reliable crane support and strong coordination on site.

At MDWind, 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 is not a slowdown. It is a 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄.

With fewer on site activities, our teams use this time to come together, reflect, and prepare for the season ahead.

🔹 Strengthening technical and commercial skills
🔹 Exchanging across teams and disciplines
🔹 Aligning technicians, Project Managers, and methodologies
🔹 Building a strong foundation for the year ahead

Less visible work, maybe. But essential for everything that follows.
Ready for what’s next. 🚀

🔧 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 – when reliability really matters ⚙️

A noisy generator. Rising temperatures. Alarms you don’t want to see during peak production. Many unplanned shutdowns start exactly there.

A generator bearing exchange is a proven 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 to restore smooth operation, reduce wear, and avoid costly downtime before it escalates into a major failure.

✅ Extended lifetime of critical components
✅ Reduced risk of unplanned stops

Executed by experienced technicians and with proper planning, this intervention can be carried out safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption to operations.
And as a practical bonus: it’s an activity that fits particularly well into the winter season ❄️.

While colder days are approaching in Northern Europe, our teams stay active in southern regions where projects can continue throughout the colder months. 🍂

Right now, our 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is performing a 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿 on an MM92 Hashtag turbine, using our 𝗦𝗸𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 for safe and efficient work at height.

On site, that means early starts, precise coordination, and strong teamwork.
Every project has its challenges & every challenge is an opportunity to be overcome by our team of experts.

🚀 Projects like this show how our teams keep delivering even as the seasons change – thanks to their experience, adaptability, and dedication.

A big 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 to our team in Romania for their commitment and the energy they bring to every project!
