Diskusijās pieskārāmies izaicinājumiem, kas ir kopīgi gan Rīgai, gan Oslo - pilsētas centra lomas maiņa, līdzsvars starp ilgtspējību un pieejamību mājokļu politikas jautājumos, kā arī vēsturisko centru attīstības izaicinājumiem.

In what's now a daily occurrence, russians sent a ballistic missile 200km into an apartment building in the city of Krivy Rih. Among the victims is mother Olena and her three children, ages 10, 2 and baby 2 months.
It’s a complete terror, that we need to stop!

russia has destroyed the dam of the Kurakhivske reservoir. Earlier, it destroyed the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and attacked other dams on the Dnipro. And not only on the Dnipro.

Flooding that occurs as a result of dam explosions threatens people's lives and creates an environmental disaster: it leads to soil erosion, the release of toxins that may be contained at the bottom of reservoirs, and the pollution of vast areas with waste. In addition, the decrease in water levels that follows the destruction of dams leads to a deterioration in water supply and irrigation.

🇺🇦🇺🇸 Two points in Zelenskyy's "victory plan" were written with Trump's possible coming to power in mind, the British newspaper Financial Times writes, citing sources.

🛑Advice on these points was given, in particular, by Trump's allies, influential Republicans, the newspaper notes. One of these ideas involves replacing some US troops stationed in Europe with Ukrainian troops after the war is over.

The second point was proposed by Trump's ally, Senator Lindsey Graham, and it refers to joint control of Ukraine and the West over the country's most important natural resources. It was these two points, according to sources, that interested Trump when he read the plan. Officially, the Ukrainian authorities and Trump's representatives did not comment on the publication.

Right now Ukrainians are defending the security and peace of the whole Europe. Meanwhile, Europe is playing a double game. Since the beggining of the full scale war the EU has paid russia 204 billion EUR for energy resources - i.e. Europe has funded 1.5 years of russian war!

With one hand, Europe is financing russian war machine, and with the other hand, it is giving Ukraine money to stop it.
If we want to defeat the aggressor and ensure lasting peace on the continent, it is time to abandon the double standards.

Ukraine and Lithuania signed a defense industry memorandum of understanding, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said on Nov. 4.

⛴️Šī gada 30. oktobrī Stokholmā tika palaists pasaulē pirmais elektriskais zemūdens spārnu prāmis, kas pilsētas iedzīvotājiem sniegs vairākus ieguvumus – gan būtiskus ietaupījumus pārvietošanās laikā, gan izmešos.

2021. gadā, kad Grupa93 un IE.LA inženieri veica darbu pie Rīgas Enerģētikas aģentūra pasūtīta pētījuma par integrēta, zemu emisiju ūdenstransporta attīstības potenciālu Rīgā, šis prāmis bija viens no aplūkotajiem piemēriem, kad projekts Stokholmā vēl atradās ieceres stadijā.💡

Pētījuma ietvaros, pamatojoties uz svārstmigrācijas datiem, dažādiem pieņēmumiem par iedzīvotāju pārvietošanās paradumu izmaiņām un citiem faktoriem, tika izstrādāti trīs attīstības scenāriji – tostarp kombinētais dīzeļdegvielas un elektrisko prāmju satiksmes ieviešanas modelis Rīgā. Tika aprēķinātas nepieciešamās investīcijas, iespējamie CO2 izmešu ietaupījumi un izstrādātas vizualizācijas piestātņu atrašanās vietām.

🦾Fundraising for prosthetics for soldiers who want to return to service

The Angels Charitable Foundation and Patronage Service (formerly known as Angels of Azov) has launched the first collection for prosthetics for Ukrainian amputees who want to return to service.

In total, they want to raise millions of hryvnias for functional, modern and waterproof prosthetic arms and legs for the soldiers of the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 12th Special Forces brigade "Azov" of the National Guard of Ukraine. The soldiers will be fitted with prosthetics by Ukrainian and American centers - agreements have already been reached with them.

🕯️Today, we remember with respect and pride all those who protect and preserve the very essence of our identity, our spirit, our history and values - sacred things for the existence of the state and nation.

Today, we remember with honour and pain all those who gave everything they had for Ukraine, who gave their lives for the lives of others, who paid the ultimate price for peace. These people are the noblest and strongest people in the world, and they are not only Ukrainians.

Every death, every sacrifice will forever echo painfully in Ukrainian hearts, reminding us of the price of life and the cruelty of the world, but this pain will become strength, and memory will become the foundation that people have laid for our future.

For every free day, every breath, every step towards liberating Ukraine from the enemy, we are eternally grateful to you!

He called on Western leaders to strengthen Ukraine's air defences and allow it to strike airfields and launch pads on Russian territory.

▪️ 55% of respondents oppose the transfer of territories under the agreement, although a year ago this figure was 87%.
