Enhancing Digital Communication Skills for Researchers ✨🔬
In the post-pandemic world, high-quality digital communication is the key to overcoming obstacles and building powerful scientific and research partnerships!
Yesterday, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, we had an important rendezvous with the researchers of the future! I was delighted to deliver an intensive training session titled: "Digital Communication in Research and Innovation" for young researchers at the National Authority for DNA Analysis and Genetic Fingerprinting (NAARA).
Our focus was centered on the quality and efficiency of communication, and how to transform email from a mere message into a professional and effective tool for building partnerships in research and innovation. We delved deep into the fundamentals of professional email writing:
• Message Components: (To, From, Carbon Copy CC, Blind Carbon Copy BCC).
• Email Security: Vigilance against phishing attempts and informational breaches to ensure a secure research environment.
• Efficiency in Attaching and Uploading Documents in correspondence.
Let us be clear: these skills are not optional; they are the trust and responsibility of scientific research in the digital age!
We are determined, with unwavering resolve, to continue our diligent work and exert maximum effort to provide comprehensive support and assistance through an ambitious training series aimed at elevating the competencies of our young researchers in this national institution and extending our reach to all Libyan institutions. This is a national commitment we will uphold, God willing.

An important step towards boosting Libya’s partnership in Scientific Research and Innovation!
I was honored this morning, Monday, September 29, 2025, to attend the scheduled meeting of the working group for the "5+5 Dialogue for Research, Innovation, and Higher Education" (Western Mediterranean Dialogue).
It was a highly productive meeting, bringing together our Libyan team, led by the Director General of the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research (who is currently chairing the 5+5 Dialogue Forum for the period 2025 - 2026), along with the expert team from our partner country, Portugal (the Vice-Chair).
During the meeting, we discussed the agenda for preparing for upcoming meetings and the ambitious work plan for the forum with great positivity.
We eagerly look forward to achieving several goals, most importantly enhancing and securing effective participation opportunities for Libya in the projects of this vital regional forum. We are committed to putting in every necessary effort to achieve the maximum possible benefit from this leadership partnership position!

It was an honor for me to participate today in the periodic meeting of the North Africa Human Microbiome Consortium (NACHM), a leading regional initiative exceptionally led by the distinguished University of Sfax. The meeting was productive, as we discussed strategic plans focused on expanding the consortium's scope to include new local teams and setting a rich agenda of innovative activities aimed at deepening awareness of the microbiome's role in human health and well-being. We also seriously explored ways to establish strategic partnerships with the industrial sector, based on the principle of a "win-win partnership," with the goal of translating our research findings into practical and tangible solutions.
Because communication is the foundation of success, we emphasized the necessity of strengthening our ties with regional and European alliances to exchange expertise and integrate efforts. "NACHM," which was born from the "MICAfrica" project funded by the Horizon 2020 program, brings together the best experts from Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, and Libya in a noble mission. A tribute of respect and appreciation to the consortium's president, Professor Dr. Leila Kaskas, for her inspiring leadership.
