The purpose of AFC is to provide American football coaching resources and capacity to athletes and coaches from underrepresented areas outside the United States. Our American football clinics are unique because they are an international organization that is created to teach American football fundamentals, techniques, skills, and schemes in combination with the development of life skills. Many inte
rnational countries that have American football leagues do not have the economical resources or support to run a successful organization, from things such as proper equipment to knowledge of injury prevention. These teams begin and run their leagues with the bare minimum financial budget and is fueled though the passion of the sport. AFC's clinics provide the knowledge for a stable base in the art of American football. Each practice begins with a presentation on the kinesiology and biomechanics of the sport- proper stance, positions, blocking, etc. From there, seminars related to health issues such as concussions, injury prevention, and hydrated are presented to the players and coaches to increase their health awareness and to be able to play safely on the field. The second half of the practice is dedicated to hands on learning and coaching. Full practices are run- from conditioning to stretching, position specific drills to scrimmage games. This unique cycle of the clinic creates a well-balanced base for a sustainable American football league. We firmly believe in education both on an off the field, as a tool for the growth and love of the game.
