Al Akhawayn Center for Business Ethics Supported by Siemens, the Center for Business Ethics (CBE) aims to enhance integrity in the Moroccan business environment and raise awareness.

The main objective of this project is to enhance integrity in the Moroccan business environment through the creation of a center for business ethics. The mission of the center is to raise awareness and promote clean business in different sectors, namely energy, healthcare, industry and infrastructure and cities. The Center for Business Ethics will constitute a major player in the fight against cor

ruption through training of professionals, students, and educators as well as conducting research projects and developing teaching case studies. The Center’s activities will revolve around the following objectives:
Good Governance Practices: Help businesses to implement anti-corruption initiatives and adopt good governance practices through seminars and training courses for executives. Curricula Development and Seminars: Integrate business ethics into undergraduate and graduate programs. Offer training dedicated to how to integrate business ethics in different disciplines. Research: Conduct relevant applied research in the areas of business ethics. The goal of these research projects is to advance knowledge and best practices. Auditors training: Develop and deliver training dedicated to auditors and compliance officers.

Justice - 👨‍⚖️ En début de semaine, la cour d'appel de Rabat a condamné une centaine de fonctionnaires pour corruption.

Jusqu’à 5 ans de prison ont été prononcées en faveur des fonctionnaires condamnés. La plupart des condamnés ont écopé d'une peine allant de 6 mois avec sursis à 2 ans de prison et 5000dh d'amende. Sinon, un fonctionnaire a écopé de 5 ans de prison ferme et d'une amende de 5000dh, un autre a été condamné à 3 ans de prison ferme, quatre autres ont écopé de deux ans et demi de prison ferme et enfin deux personnes à 2 ans de prison ferme.

D'autres fonctionnaires ont décidé de démissionner, d'autres ont été suspendu, les condamnés ne pourront plus occuper un poste dans la fonction publique.

A noter que la corruption fait perdre au Maroc chaque année plus de 22 Milliards de Dh. Pour Transparency Maroc, la corruption ferait perdre au Maroc plus de 200 Milliards de Dh chaque année. Un manque à gagner pour l'Etat et fragilise les institutions du pays.

Le Maroc est classé 81ème/180 pays (il était 90ème en 2016) par l'ONG internationale Transparency dans son indice de perception de la corruption (2017).

La corruption touche au Maroc essentiellement la justice, l'immobilier, la santé, l'administration, la police.
