Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Welding Inspector to join an International Company. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of welding operations, particularly in high-stakes environments such as nuclear power plants. The Welding Inspector will be responsible for assessing material certificates, attending lab tests, and developing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections of welding processes and materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Assess and verify material certificates and documentation.
• Attend and evaluate lab tests on materials to ensure quality standards are met.
• Develop and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for various projects.
• Perform visual inspections (VT2) and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Conduct film reading (Level 2 or Level 3) to assess weld quality.
• Utilize additional testing methods including:
o Ultrasonic Testing (UT) for wall thickness measurement
o X-ray inspection
o Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT)
o Penetrant Testing (PT)
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:
• Must possess qualifications necessary for entry into nuclear power plants.
• VT2 certification is required.
• Level 2 or Level 3 film reading certification is essential.
• Relevant welding certifications are mandatory.
• Knowledge of and possession of additional certifications is an advantage, including:
o International Welding Technologist (IWT)
o International Welding Engineer (IWE)
o CO2 welding certification
o X-ray certification
o Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
o Magnetic Research Certification
o Visual Examination (VT2)
