On Earth, a solar eclipse offers a rare moment when the Moon blocks the Sun from our view.
On the Moon, sunlight presents a very different challenge.

At the lunar South Pole, future vehicles will have to operate in an environment shaped by intense sunlight, strong contrasts between light and shadow, and exposure to solar radiation.
These conditions matter. They influence how technologies are designed, tested and prepared to operate on the lunar surface.
Understanding light, shadow and radiation is therefore more than a matter of observation.

Celebrating Apollo 15's legacy. โœจ

On 30 July 1971, Apollo 15 became the fourth crewed mission to land on the Moon and the first to deploy the Lunar Roving Vehicle, enabling astronauts to travel nearly 28 km across the lunar surface.

Apollo 15 marked a turning point in lunar exploration, paving the way for a new era of scientific discovery.

We are especially proud to have welcomed Apollo 15 Commander David Scott at Venturi Space back in 2024. His visit gave our teams the opportunity to hear world class insights about one of history's greatest exploration missions.

More than five decades later, Apollo 15's legacy continues to inspire all of us at Venturi Space, as we prepare towards whatโ€™s next for lunar exploration.
