🎉 20 Years of AD MEPSO ⚡

Colenco was pleased to attend the ceremonial event marking 20 years of AD MEPSO — two decades of continuous development, improved transmission reliability, and modernization of North Macedonia’s electricity transmission system.

🤝 The celebration brought together representatives of state institutions, the diplomatic corps, the energy sector, domestic and international partners, media, as well as current and former employees — all united in recognizing MEPSO’s important role in ensuring a stable and secure power system.

🌍 We extend our congratulations to MEPSO and the Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources, led by Minister Sanja Božinovska, for their continued support of the development and modernization of the energy sector.

🎄✨ A Magical Day at COLENCO ✨🎄

Yesterday, our COLENCO office was filled with joy, laughter, and holiday spirit as we hosted a wonderful gathering for the children of our employees.

🎅 Santa Claus paid us a special visit, spreading smiles and excitement, while the children enjoyed fun and engaging activities, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Moments like these remind us how important community, family, and togetherness are - especially during the holiday season.

🌞 Solar4Kosovo I – Photovoltaics

COLENCO, together with ILF and in cooperation with KEK, has successfully prepared and published the Prequalification (PQ) Documents for the Solar4Kosovo I project, under the guidance of KfW Development Bank.

📢 The procurement notice was published on Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) on 08 December 2025.

⚡ The project foresees the development of a minimum 130 MWp / 100 MWac solar PV plant, representing an important step toward diversifying Kosovo’s energy mix and supporting the country’s energy transition, with both environmental and social benefits.

💼 The project is financed through a KfW loan, and now moves into the next tendering phases.

🎓 Training of Trainers Programme for ESM – Successfully Launched

On December 9, 2025, Colenco, in partnership with the VITA Institute, launched a one-week Training of Trainers (ToT) programme as part of the EBRD-financed project “Developing Energy Trading and Project Management Skills for ESM.”

This final phase of the training series focused on strengthening participants’ training, communication, and facilitation skills, helping them become confident internal trainers and knowledge multipliers within their organisations.

By building strong in-house training capacity, the programme supports long-term impact and sustainability, enabling ESM to respond to market changes, encourage innovation, and strengthen organisational excellence.

👥 Around 15 participants from ESM took part in the programme, with women representing over 25% of participants.

🌍✨ We had a wonderful time at the Young Energy Europe event held on 9 December at Europe House, Skopje!

🌱 The event brought together experts, institutions, and companies to share how green ideas can grow into real projects through EU funding, green credit lines, and professional consultancy support.
Participants also learned more about the Young Energy Europe programme and how young employees can contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability in their workplaces.

🔌 COLENCO Publishes Prequalification Documents for the Project “Development of the Energy Sector VII – Improvement of Transmission Network”!

We are proud to announce that together with KOSTT – Transmission System and Market Operator J.S.C., and under the guidance of KfW Development Bank, COLENCO has successfully prepared and published the Prequalification (PQ) Documents for the procurement of Design, Supply & Installation of Power Transformers.

📢 The procurement notice was officially released on GTAI on 06 November 2025, marking an important milestone in the project’s implementation.

📄 The PQ package was developed fully in line with KfW Procurement Guidelines, setting clear technical, financial, and ESHS qualification requirements to ensure a transparent and competitive bidding process.

⚡ This project will significantly strengthen Kosovo’s transmission network by modernizing infrastructure, replacing aging transformers, and improving overall reliability and digital readiness.

🛠️ Key Scope of Works:

• Supply of 110/10(20) kV, 32/40 MVA power transformers for SS Fushe Kosova and SS Kastrioti
• Replacement of transformers in SS Gjakova 1, SS Pristina 5, and SS Prizren 1
• ➕ Optional replacements in SS Peja 1, SS Ferizaj 1, and SS Decan

With the PQ documents now published, the project moves forward to the next tendering phase, where prequalified bidders will be invited to submit offers under FIDIC Yellow Book conditions. COLENCO will continue supporting the Client throughout evaluation and contracting to ensure an efficient and transparent process.

From 28–30 October 2025, Skopje proudly hosted the Fourteenth International Forum on Energy for Sustainable Development, bringing together 500+ participants from over 70 countries — experts, policymakers, and innovators shaping the global .

We are proud that the CEO of COLENCO Skopje took part as a panelist in the session “Data-driven energy planning and operations”, sharing valuable insights on how digital tools and data analytics can strengthen energy planning and support evidence-based policymaking. 📊
