The Ports as Energy Transition Hubs (POTENT) Marie Skลodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network is looking for 15 qualified doctoral candidates (DC) interested in the fields of Energy Infrastructure, Maritime Economics, Ports, and Data Science, one of which will be based at the World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmรถ, Sweden.
The primary objective of the POTENT Network, led by Copenhagen Business School, is to investigate how ports can support and accelerate the clean energy transition in Europe.
WMU's role will focus on topics including circular economy, port-city integration, business models, emerging market strategies, and life cycle assessment. The WMU candidate will apply various methods, such as case study designs, scenario analysis, and system dynamics models within the project. During the course of the project, the candidate will be seconded for short term periods with Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development - ENEA (Italy), and the Kenya Ports Authority.
